~Bad Tree~
There is a huge tree in my yard that is
really worrying me. Its split and looks
like its been hit by lightening. Its outside
my living room, on the west side of the
house. Look at the photos and I think you
will agree with me. I need to talk to Joe,
my landlord and to my friend Julio, hes
a great tree man. He used to work for us
when Willie, my 2nd hubby, and I had a
tree service in Elkhart. He was a climber
and one of the best. He would know what
to the house in the summer, but if we have
a bad storm with high winds it worries me
what might happen to it. As split as it is, it
could easily break in half and where it is,
well, I would have that tree in my living
room, and THAT would not be a good
thing.
I talked to Donnie last night, he phoned.
My phone, when it rings, sounds like ones
on TV and until I mute my TV I cant tell
who's phone is ringing, mine or the TV.
That happens with the doorbell too.. I
have dragged myself off my bed and into
my chair and gone flying as fast as I can
into the livingroom, thinking someone is
ringing my doorbell! That makes me so
mad! But I cant tell if its mine or one on
TV! I bet that's happened to other people
too, they need special sounding ones on
TV not real sounding ones :-)
Anyway, Donnie and Gary made up and
he said they are VERY busy. Seems a lot
of people want decks besides me. He
thought I wanted a 10 X 12 but I only want
a 8 X 10.. big difference, and in the cost
of it too. The bigger one will cost about
400 dollars he said, just for the lumber
that's too much for me. I was counting
on only about 200. He said he will come
up and measure before he does anything.
And hes gonna bring Kirsten, he said he
told her I am legless and in a chair, I'm
glad she knows before she comes, some
kids are afraid of chairs and I sure wouldn't
want to scare her. I remember when my
nephew Tyler saw me, didn't scare him at
all... in fact, he put his hand on my arm,
looked up at me with the bluest eyes you
have ever seen, very serious, he was only
6.. he said.. "Auntie, you have no legs!" I
looked at him and smiled and told him they
got sick and had to be removed. I asked
him if it bothered him.. He lovingly patted
my arm and said,,, "NO Auntie~! I will walk
for you...can I push your chair?" His mom
Cheryl was shocked but very pleased at his
reaction.. I was too... :-)
Well I am having left over meat pie today.
Penny made it yesterday, it was so good and
Penny made it yesterday, it was so good and
today it will be even better..Just thinking
about it makes my stomach growl...:-) I am
still a most GORGEOUS WEEBLE..Keep
well and God Bless...
Always, Lois ****
"God Bless You" is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you 'friend'.
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...
