~UP At 4 am~
Started out foggy this morning, but its
turned out to be a nice day, not too hot,
which I am very glad. I woke up this
morning and got UP at 4:15. ive been
up since. I couldn't sleep and got tired
of trying to sleep and decided to just
get on this computer. I did sit in the
doorway and drank my coffee tho. I
noticed while I was there that I have
some wild strawberries growing under
the peonies. Penny tasted them last
year and said they are NOT good to
eat tho, not like other wild strawberries
that had wild strawberries. One of the
rules up north is that if you know of a
spot to pick berries, no matter what kind,
you NEVER tell anyone, its your private
did I. My mom never went but did all the
cleaning and prep when Dad and I brought
them home. I would hear my mom call
me to get up by saying "Lois! Daddy is
going berry picking, get up if you want to
go!" That was all it took and I hit the floor
running to make sure he didn't leave with
out me. :-)
We would pick raspberries or blueberries
and strawberries. When our pails were full
we would head back to the house. We always
left some for the animals. I told dad one day
"lets pick them ALL!" Dad smiled and said,
"NO, we cant do that honey, we need to
leave some for the bears and deer and the
animals, they like sweet treats like these
good berries. We have to share. Im sure
they have been here, see their prints on
the ground? They left some for us, so we
need to not be greedy and leave some too".
After that I always made sure when I went
back to these berry spots when I was an
adult to leave some for the animals..
I'm kinda tired so I'm gonna eat some of my
sandwich spread and take a nap.. I'm still
a GORGEOUS WEEBLE, keep well and
God Bless...
Always, Lois ****
"God Bless You" is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you 'friend'.
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...

Great pictures there Lois..put some sugar on the strawberries...
I got me some cherry at the store today, being 4 dollars a lb I don't buy to many...and some are over 7 dollars a lb.I don't buy them at all.
Wanting to get a good watermelon next week.
We got a little rain last night, a whole lot of thunder.
Hoping for more rain without all the noises.
God bless you Lois.
