~Ear Ache~
I have an ear ache.. I bet I made at the least.. I KNOW 7 calls
this morning, one to Chris..again reminding him about this kitchen
window.. he was supposed to put this in LAST year..before
I moved IN ! and here it is.. OVER a year later, and I still don't
have that window in.. I asked him.. "Chris, arent you tired of
me calling and bugging you about this? Im tired of calling you
about it".. He can solve this.. He said he would get onto Kenny
and see where its at.. Im really sick of it.. Well anyway I called
him..and I called the drug store, I called COA, Penny didn't show
up today ..again, and she had forgotten my pills last Friday
and wasn't going to be here now till Wednesday, well that would
be almost a week till I got my pills done.namely my patch for
blood pressure.. So I had to do something about getting them
picked up if I could short of calling a taxi to do it.. I don't think
it would be wise to be off my blood pressure patch for a week,
then back.. well ..Curtis from COA came to my rescue..
I talked to Nora and she got hold of Curtis and he had no drives
to make to day but as it turned out he was going to pick up his
wifes prescriptions and offered to pick mine up and drop them
off for me.. That was really nice of him..He brought them right
away I was surprised..he must have been enroute to get his..
I asked about someone to come and put some plastic up on my
windows and inside the porch.. and Jeanette is going to call me
back.. I have to try to keep the gas bill down. last winter was
killer.. I almost sank a couple times.. I had thought about just
getting an electric heater..but being in a chair..and with cats..I
would worry it would get knocked over or something.. I know
how high gas is though they even commented on that last nite
that many are using electric heaters instead of gas.. I don't keep
my thermostat very high its only on 64...but I wear a sweater too.
I got a call after I called from the social security office I have to
apply for retirement..I have NO choice..So they are going to call
and take the app over the phone...I have heard some not good
things about it..that my monthly income could decrease drastically,
and the only thing will save me is if I was married to one of my
husbands for over 10 years..The only one was Willie, my 2nd..we
married in 72 I think..and didn't get divorce till 89 or 90..so I may
be able to at least hopefully stay at this same income.. If I lost
any of my $623.oo a month that I get now I don't know what I would
do.. Paying for everything my utilities, trash, water, phone, cable,
rent.. not counting supplies.. any cut would be drastic.. They are
going to phone me on the 11th to fill out the application.. I just hope
that I can at least keep what I have.. I would gladly welcome an
increase..most definitely..but decrease? Lordy..that would be bad.
Its cold today and the temperature is steady dropping..as I write
this it is 27 degrees out.. I don't know celcius other than to say its
COLD.. It snowed off and on all day but only enough to cover the
ground.. I think there is another front coming down at us from
Canada and then across the lake.. I have a friend in Canada and
said they got 6 inches of snow and more was on the way.. Ahhhh,
the joys of winter.. I only look at it now.. but when I could..or rather
DID walk out in it.. I loved it.. I know how to drive on bad roads..
handle ice..and I many times when Kelli was small she and I would
go out when the snow was falling real light, those big white fuffy
flakes that just go back and forth as they fall down to the ground..
It always seemed like it really wasn't real cold..but we were dressed
warm..well Grans had to help make snow angels..which is what
we did.. she would laugh so hard..when she saw me there on my
back flapping my arms and legs.. I would sing real loud a Christmas
song like frosty the snowman or something.. then my Dolly would
run up and lay down next to me laugh and wave her arms and move
her legs back and forth..we would sing, then she said,"we make good
angels, don't we Gran?" ... was a wonderful time.. now that dolly is
going to have a baby soon.. how time flies.. some great memories.
Well I missed lunch it wasn't deliberate... I didn't know what it was..
and Dutch went up to it and started scratching like he wanted to
bury the stinkie..and well Im NOT eating it then.. He is my food
taster..most of the time he tastes what I eat before I do.. when I
get a burger or something I open it..his nose is right there.. I have
to pinch off a bite for him.. THEN mom can eat her burger..but
giving HIM bites in between .. Theyre spoiled. LB eats only
certain people food..he LOVES cinnamon rolls..and graham
crackers. . . Dutch does too..the 3 of us after I crawl up on my
bed at night sit there and watch Two and a Half Men and eat
graham crackers.. :-D we do.. Hey, when all you have are 2
cats to eat graham crackers in bed with..well if that's the best
you got..well.. I eat mine with 2 cats.. *sigh* :-)
Well im gonna make a sandwich for supper... I have some roast
beef and Swiss cheese..I may grill it.. its really good that way..
or maybe fry the beef..with some onions..make a Philly Beef
steak..with cheese.. Now,, that sounds good.. I think I have a
nice kaiser roll too...Im all set..GORGEOUS WEEBLES need
this good food then good sleep. I am not putting TV in there, I
very seldom see it anyway.. I see such bits and pieces of the
shows for dozing off that it drives me nuts trying to figure out
what I missed.. I watched that amazing race in spurts then the
Desperate wives, and missed the end of that..I cant escape
that eyes shut button.. what I get for leaving my glasses out
here at my desk.. "Nitey Nite" :-)
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya..and THANKS! :-)
Always, Lois ****
God Bless you, is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,

Hello Lois
I think if you wait until you are 65 you will be able to get more social sceurity than if you apply earlier. If you are looking for things to write about I am curious to know if and how your stumps have changed since the amputations. What do doctors say about exercising them. If you don't do anything do they get larger. Just curious and if you want to delete this thats OK.

Hi A,
No I wont delete..:-).. Being on SSI I have to apply for any benefits I am eligible for..and thats one of them. If I dont I could jeopardize my SSI.. I will know more when they call me...
I can answer you here, as the doctors really dont tell you a lot..I was told to lay flat every day and to do stumpercizes as I call them..I do that every day..on my own.. I dont remember them telling me..but I was awfully sick after wards.. I think from lack of walking..the muscles deteriate, makes them softer and I wouldnt think bigger unless you gain weight.. which is TOO easy to do ... But I can still write a post about it tho.. not many read comments.. so maybe someone else might be interested...
Thanks for writing and asking.. Im pleased.. thank you.. I hope you are warm and dry where ever you are.. its snowing and FREEZING here in Michigan.. Joys of Winter.. :-) have a good evening..thanks again..

Hi, Honey,
Gee, thats cold - I make it -17 Celcius - what you would call "Brass Monkey" weather here!! (Cold enough to freeze the pedubees off a brass monkey!!) - old Nautical term, to do with cannon balls, I understand!!
Hope all this money thing works out OK for you. As you say, you couldn't take ANY cut. A steady raise would be more sensible, with the cost of living on the rise all the time.
Take care, Honey. L.O.L. & G.B.H. from

Hi Lois
Thanks for answering my question about your stumps. You are such an incredible and honest person. Thank you. It would probably make a good post with a picture from 5 years ago. And I do read everything you write.

Now, can I please have at least a initial of a name?" hehehe.. you know ALL about me.. so only fair :-D....
