~I Got A New Bed!~
I slept late and I have to say I have really gotten a lot
done and I sure like how this place looks.. I feel like I
am living again like I used to. And I am most most grate
ful.. I am so glad I listened to Rebecca and came and
looked at this place. I guess it was meant to be for me
to go out and come and see.. I trusted her, so I knew
it would be a nice place, but I never expected anything
as great as this.. It is such fun really to have room to
put the things I had to pack away, like my tea pots and
my Cookie Jar, to have them out now where I can enjoy
them.. I wish I was taller though to be able to hang things
where I want them...
I had a most wonderful surprise yesterday at about noon.
I saw a truck outside the door from Longstreet furniture
in Coldwater.. They delivered a full size bed to me.. It is
wonderful.. Notice above I said I slept late.. well.. I get
up most times, well, I did before, about 4 am.. I slept in
today till 8:30.. so, what does that tell you? Penny came
yesterday and we got my comforter out with the matching
sheets and washed everything I am so glad I kept them.
Later on down the line, I would like to get a nice satin
comforter.. Dusty Rose color of course... I think I would
be able to move really good on that... Penny said she had
satin sheets once and slid right otta bed.. I did NOT ask
WHAT she was doing to cause THAT!.. Perhaps a night
mare.. maybe Eddie was home :-) A very dear special
friend got this bed for me, and bless their heart for
doing this.. I havent slept that good in ages, I cant even
remember how long its been.. I am TRULY GRATEFUL..
Theresa was due to come today but had to cancel.. We
lost all the snow yesterday that we had gotten but I
looked outside this morning and it snowed again and it
has been all day.. Roads are clear, so I'm glad I worry
when the kids have to drive in bad weather or Penny
when she drives these country roads in the snow.. Shes
used to it having lived here all her life and they do take
good care of the main roads, the road crews don't let
it get ahead of them... My cousin Ronnie used to plow
for the county up in the UP.. Everyone stayed on his good
side they didn't want their mailboxes accidentally taken
out...
Ronnie had to plow early one morning and as hes flying
down the road, which he knows like the back of his hand,
he hit a spot of ice in that big huge truck that has a one
way plow, not the front kind that goes down the center
of the bigger roads, usually 2 lane and the one sided
plow follows behind a tad the big double pointed front
one.... clears 2 lanes at one swipe.. Well, Ronnie said that
truck hit that icy spot and he looked and saw a whole
row of mail boxes all sitting side by side like they do
out in the country sometimes. Ronnie said there wasn't a
thing he could do and that plow snapped those boxes
off like they were nothing.. he looked back in the mirror
and saw nothing.. good thing the mail hadnt been delivered
Yet.. The county did replace the boxes though. Ronnie
I have to say did laugh when he told us this story... :-) I
KNOW he felt SO bad doing that :-)
KNOW he felt SO bad doing that :-)
I have lots to do yet today and if I stop for too long I
wont feel like finishing and I HAVE to, ive been doing
the bedroom and If I want to enjoy this new bed again,
I will have to clean stuff off of it that I have been
trying to arrange and find a place for...Time for this
GORGEOUS TIRED WEEBLE to say "nitey nite" for
today... and too.. "Thank you Lord"....
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and THANKS!
Always, Lois ****

"God Bless You" is my prayer today.
I'm honored to call you "friend".

Honey,
"Chipped" means having a tiny microchip inserted just below the skin of the dog's neck. The chip is coded so that a special electronic reader can read the code numbers, a record of which is held by the vet. That way, a dog can always be identified and returned to its owner. It is also pretty tamper-proof and is a good insurance against the theft of pedigree dogs.
Take care, Honey,
Luv Ya,
Raife
