~You Cant Turn Back Time~
The first time I went back home after a time away
I noticed the changes when I went back for a visit.
The town got smaller, the school buildings were torn
down as the 4 small towns all merged into one. The
mines closed, there were new things added that I
wasn't used to.. But things were never the same as
when I left that first time...
Every time I went back even that last time back in
89, things had changed so much I realized then I
could never go back to what was.. My parents were
gone, most of the Uncles and Aunts, and cousins I
knew were dead or moved away... The only thing that
stayed the same was my parents house. Most every
thing else had moved on... I could not go back to
how things were and some times its best not to try
because they can not be revived to what they were.
My Dear Cousin June always told me, "Time marches
on, it stops for no one or for any reason, and it will
NOT go Backwards.." I havent heard from her in
quite a while and I hope she is still alive and well..
The last letter I got she was doing ok and was going
The last letter I got she was doing ok and was going
to have her 90th birthday.. When she is gone, most
of my ties to HOME will be gone... Time marches on.
Travis came today and we had a nice visit.. Hes such
a nice kid.. Well hes not a kid I would say hes in his
mid 20's. A very helpful man.. :-) He stayed for
almost 2 hours and he and I discuss everything that
is right OR wrong in my life and he offers suggestions
as how to deal with them.. From what he says COA
has someone to help with this medicare thing I am
having to deal with, this plan A and B that I don't
understand, I will give them a call... Rebecca is due
to stop by today again as well but I'm not sure what
time..
My boy Donnie came by last nite to check on me and
stayed for quite a while.. He just stays so busy.. Well
he has 3 jobs , 3 daughters, a kinda sorta ex wife,
his racing AND me plus lots of other friends that
he just is constantly on the go.. His brother John is
living with him and from what I gather may be a
permanent thing. Poor kid lives on a lake and hasnt
even time to go fishing! That's not good ! :-) He
needs some 'Donnie time'...
Well its lunch time here and my appetite is still not
the greatest but I HAVE to eat with these newer
higher dose thyroid pills so... I havta eat.. I may
wait to see what the COA lunch is.. Hopefully it
will be eatable :-) So anyhoway its time for this
GORGEOUS WEEBLE to post this and tell ya
again...."I SHALL return!" :-)
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? luv ya and thanks.
Always, Lois ****
"God Bless You" is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you Friend...
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...

Yes ... the Irish writer wrote a book what said what you said in a few paragraphs: "You can't go back." You just shut the door on an interesting experience that proves the point. American phillosopher Willie Nelson sang: "Yesterday's dead and gone. Tomorrow's but a dream but, ah today ... today's the day to live it up and grab hold of a couple giggles." And that's what this old yahoo echos ... it was an interesting experience ... to bad it didn't turn out funfilled ... but no matter ... breath a sigh and press on. Yeah!

Hi, Honey,
Petworth stays much the same - too much traffic, too many antique shops, too many houses crowded into too small a space. Where we lived has changed for the worse, sadly. Again, too many houses of too big a size with too few parking spaces. Each house has about enough ground to put up a clothes airer and that is about it. I know they say this is a "tight little island", but it is too blooming tight in that corner of Petworth. Mind you, it's all to do with money - the developers must have made a packet, building houses that close together. Then there is a requirement for a certain percentage of "social housing". That lets the druggies in on every new development. I'm darned glad I live slap bang in the middle of a National Park!!
Well, that's my two pennyworth for this evening! Take care, Honey,
Luv Ya,
Raife

Hello Lois
So happy you had some time with your son...it would be nice if both could live in the USA and close to you.
Another awesome day with the weather here, wish it would stay around for a little while.
Going to bed early tonight, need to catch up on some sleep...and no alarm clock to wake up too....
God bless you Lois

Medicare A pays for hospitals
Medicare B pays for Doctors and services like radiology, blood work ups etc.
Medicare D pays for medicines.
I have my medicare administered by Blue Cross/Blue Shield NY state's HMO - It is large and they give me many benefits such as free gym, glasses, dental, mental etc. The co-pay is $5.00 for my primary dr and all his tests - specialists are $15.00 - I hope that explains it.
