~Sunshiney SatDay~ :-)

The Trees Are Changing :-)
LB in the sunshine
Woke to sunshine and warmness today... The boys took
full advantage of the sunshine.. It felt good compared
to the dull drab rainy.. I watched yesterday as the kids
got out of school.. about 3:20 or so they let them go..
It was pouring down rain, and there were lots of cars
at the school to pick up kids, but quite a few still walked
home in it... They had NO umbrella and the way some of
them were dressed , in shorts for petes sake ! Where
ARE the moms or dads that let their kids go out the door
looking like this? And no reguard to the temperature?
Then they wonder WHY this flu crap is spreading so
vastly.. And why these kids are getting sick.. Now these
are high school.. so I can imagine how the grade school
kids are dressed since they say those are the ones at
higher risk... I dunno but Goodwill is a very cheap place
to buy clothes and there ARE free stores for clothes...
My self.. I approve of uniforms for school.. then there
is NO peer pressure... Which causes BULLYing.. which
is getting out of hand according to what I hear on TV,..
Dutch ....
Four 11 and 12 year olds plotted to kill a class mate. Only
because these 4 girls felt this other girl was inferior..
That is SO cruel.. And whats worse, they have copies of
drawings that showed HOW they were going to kill this
other girl! I saw this on the news last nite....This is so
upsetting to me,.. to see what is happening at the schools
even at home.. the awful violence... What is happening to
respect we as parents should have put into our children
when they were young.. So many don't.. and its mainly
because the parents both have to work now, Years ago,
we didn't and we could as moms or even some dads stay
home with their kids.. raise them to know and respect
each other.. much less HOW to Dress on a Rainy Day!!
Even Squirrely is enjoying the sunshine :-)
We heard police sirens last night right outside, scared
me! I was Homecoming over at the high school last night..
I felt so bad, was still pouring down rain... And unless the
doings have changed, they crown the king and queen of
homecoming and the prom at half time of the football
game.. I remember Many homecomings.. They were great
fun..

We all would gather up at the high school- Join hands and
weave back and forth across the road and go thru town,
down into Iron River as that was the RIVAL of our school
and EVERYONE in the county went to those games- were
a major outing.. being the small towns we were it was big
doings.. Plus great fun.. Some times those snake chains as
we went down the streets would go TOO fast and whip us
around if you let go you would run into a car or someone
standing on the side of the street.. The band would be
playing in front of all of us.. and everyone cheered and
laughed at us .. We all dressed up really crazy.. It was a
great time.. Some of the ones that didn't want to do the
snake dance all the way down the big hill rode in the back
of trucks.. Chickens they were :-) But it was a great time..
I sure hated to see the rain on this homecoming..

I sat there a bit ago and was worried about what I was
gonna write about.. Seems I always find something.. :-)
Plus today is my sister Shirleys birthday.. I will phone her
later tonite as since its so pretty out I bet she and Stanley
are gone off for a drive.. Although, they may be off in
the UP .. I know they were going.. but I don't remember
when :-) Oh well I will call and leave a message so she
knows I remembered in case they are gone up North :-)

Well I'm headed SOUTH into the kitchen to find some
lunch.. I dunno what... I KNOW I will find something :-)
I never fail to find food :-) Which, I am MOST grateful
I do.. :-) Anyhoway... its time for this GORGEOUS
WEEBLE to post this and enjoy this beautiful day :-)
I still havta warn ya.. "I Shall Return!" :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y"hear? luv ya and Thanks !
Always, Lois ****

"God Bless You" is my prayer today
I'm honored to call you Friend..
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again....

I guess I am growing old - I overdress - I do not like the cold. I will be getting both flu shots as soon as they are available. Probably in about 2 weeks. In this changeable weather I drink lots hot coffee, tea and soups.
