~I Love Good Surprises~ :-)

I had a nice surprise yesterday afternoon. I

was watching TV when the phone rang and it

was Peggy, the lady that brought the box of

food every month. The $30.oo one.. I had to

stop getting it because of my rent increase,

so I was surprised to hear from her. She

said she was coming by to drop a Christmas

box off for me. About half hour later she

came to the door with the sweetest lady, her

mother, she had come for the holidays, she

was from PA.

Peggy took the box into the kitchen and pointed

out that there was a loaf of zuchinni bread! I
LOVE that stuff :-) Peggy and her mom each

had on the cutest hats, they lit up and moved

and played Christmas songs.. They were having

a good day together.. The box contained a ham,

sweet potatoes, mac and cheese, carrots and

beans, rolls and a HUGE cheese cake. Enough

I know for at least 4 people.. What a nice

surprise! I wasn't expecting that at all... :-)

It is a gloomy rainy, not really cold day, just

ickky... I feel pretty good today and I am hoping

I will feel even better tomorrow so I can get

some things done. I have a package to send and

I have NOT even paid my bills yet. I'm behind!
I will catch up tomorrow.... Penny is getting some

cards for me to send.. I don't send very many..

But I love getting them... :-)

I had shrimp yesterday that Penny picked up,

that was on sale.. I have been hungry for some

for quite a while so we have been watching the

price of them.. Meijers used to have some good

sales on them but quit... These were really good

and I may have them again today.

Time to post this and get some stuff done today,

not a lot, I have to find a place to hide the popourri

jars that were on top my desk.. Dutch has decided

I cannot have any of that stuff if there is ANY

possible way he can get into it.. I had mirrors ontop

these 2 jars, and it may have taken him a year to

figure out what to do , but he did, and so NOW I

have to figure out another way to keep him out of

the pouporri.. or how ever you spell that stuff...

But he eats it, its all dried flowers, THEN he gets

sick... and eats it anyway ! SO I have to keep it

away from him.. Same reason I cant have REAL
plants.. The kid eats them :-) Well, I don't mind

having silk or fake plants, less upkeep :-)
