~My AC is Out !~

About 8:30 this morning my phone rang and it was Donnie.
Said he had to go to Home Depot cuz they didn't have WHITE
electrical outlet covers..only OFF white at Mennards.Well if you
know him,it HAS to be what he wants or he wont use it.. Dawn
told him "its ONLY a garage, who will KNOW" ..Donnie says
"SHE is NOT allowed in my garage..I WILL KNOW"..:-D
So he said, as hes backing out of his driveway, in the thick fog we
had this morning and was going to come by here and take out the
air conditioner from my bedroom window...As Im talking to
him on the phone..I hear this LOUD..BANG BANG BANG..
at the door, scared the daylights otta me.. I hear on the phone-
Donald is saying "GRAN! OPEN THE DOOR, ITS ME!".. I
laffed so hard..buggar..scared me..he knew he would.. He
got here pretty fast for it being so foggy out..

Well he had to move the credenza from in front of the window,
the stuff on top of it..He says "you coulda had this cleared off
for me ya know.." well like I informed him I surely WOULD
have if he hadnt sneaked up on me.. :-) He said the storm
windows on this house are pathetic..the windows are rotten
around them..Took him quite a while to get the storm one
back on... He must have gone up and down to the basement
3 times looking for the windows..then he asks ME ..where are
they down there..?? I said "HUH? I have Penny go down and
take pictures so I can see whats down there, I don't KNOW"
:-) He figgured it out.. He said maybe one day next week he
will come and put plastic on the porch screen..I think one of
the screens he brought up goes to the door on the porch ..I
have NO idea... I just hope that kitchen window gets redone
before it gets any colder.. He needs to insulate or fix this
door as well...but KennyKid stays so strung out..well over
80 houses and if hes the only one doing the repairs , well
he has his hands full.. I don't know if he would do as good
a job as Lewis and that old guy that put the living room ones
in.. All I know is that I sure don't want the same size gas bill
I had last winter..that was awful..over 100 dollars a month..
Donnie said gas at the stations Is over 3 dollars a gallon here.
That's awful.. He works in Elkhart, which is Indiana but I don't
know if its cheaper there.. He uses his little car instead of his
big truck.. seems funny to see him driving a car though..hes
always had a truck..this one is a nice big 2 door Dodge..

I made it through the day with no major incidents too which I am
very glad.. I was going to fix my bakers rack in the kitchen and
put the stuff I use all the time on it again..We packed up all my
teapots and I don't know if Im going to put them back up there.
I worry that they might get knocked off..the shelves are not
solid, which makes the stuff unsteady if it is bumped or run into
with a wheel chair.. I have done that MANY times..then sit and
wait to see what is going to get knocked off..thankfully not one
thing has..I wish I did have a nice place to put them.. That's why
I have quit collecting..just to have it..then that means it has to
have a place to be put..well in here Im lucky if I have a place to
be ...Not a lot of room..and every single thing has to have a
place and put back into that place ..I tell this to Penny so she
knows I have to know where things are and they have to be
put back in the same place..When she first started..she didn't
really know..so she did put stuff away ..but then I didn't know
where SHE had decided to put it..so we had a talk and I explained
to her I have to have things put back..and specially NOTHING glass
up high..that I would have to use my grabber to get it.. Like the
dishes above the sink.. I have to make sure she gets me what
I need if I do need something from up there. I cant get that
first thing out of that cabinet..its just too high and with the high sink,
I cant get close enough. The sink comes up to my arm pits.. its
higher than the apartment one even.. I keep my good dishes up
there and the extra stuff I have.. If I have company they can get
what they need them selves...

My chicken was great..I ate half of it.. I only cooked 2 breasts..
was just enough for yesterday and the rest today.. I still have a
bit of that cold or what ever it was.. I know I have the headache
still, but Im not sneezing, thank goodness I know my monitor is
glad of that too!.. I bet I had to wipe that thing off a dozen times
from sneezing on it.. :-) Food..TV...and sleep..I fixed my bed
and pillows after Donnie left So my bed is waiting for me..and
I am SO ready to get Back on it.. I know will be warmer with that
AC out of the window. "nitey nite",

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya..and thanks . :-)
Always, Lois ****

God Bless you, is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again.....

    Hello Lois, another wonderful day.
I cover my air condition on the outside and inside too...
I found out today my brother Harry fell and broke his left ankle. going out his back door steps.

Yes I hope you get that kitchen window fixed before it get real cold out side... those gas prices are high.
We pay 3.19 for Gas for car here...it is so high for gas right now. Hoping it come down next week when we have to put more gas in the Van. It take two full tanks a month, our tank are 35 gal.
I did get me a nap today, I sure needed it too...I took a little cold again. Going to have to take that vit C everyday...I never use to take cold much...something has changed.

Plastic on the porch screen sure will help a lot.
Yes we sure need to be getting ready for winter, that ice and snow will get here to soon for me.
I like them better if it will wait untill Jan before it all come. And only stay till the end of Feb. Then I like it to warm up and stay nice.
My daughter Beth came over to pick up pecan. she didn't get many, so she help herself to the big barrel of pecan we have...she going to bake a few pies for Thanksgiving.
She is also going to bake the turkey again this year.
Sure hope the weather will be nice for it too...
    God bless you Lois.
    Mary
