~ BlueBird's Place~

I think my lovely little bluebird is so wonderful.. she's so pretty.. I put

tape underneath her just in case, the boy has been known to get up

on top my desk and I would hate for him to knock her off..The blue

is just wonderful..RIght behind- the crystal candleholders..those were

my mothers..they were given to my parents by my dads parents..

and they were married in 1929...so how old are they? The two jars

next..well vases..with the upside down mirrors and there is another

octagon shape glass container you can see the flat top..In those 3

containers are petals from my flowers that I have received from dear

friends and family since I got sick..In the smaller container are rose

petals that I saved from my roses in Texas..back before 83 when I

moved from Houston to Indiana.. And would you believe..they STILL

smell ? The bowl in front is brass..the round container and the

candle holder on the left are brass.. and you see my little mouse..

he is too..
Most of my accent pieces are brass I would LOVE some more

for my walls.. I want something for by my big mirror above the

couch that would make that wall so much better.. Up in that top

photo you see a blue thing there..the paint is chipping off, do you

know what that is? that was my mothers..she kept it in a special

container..with good needles and thin yarn..now do you know?

Its a sock mender..you drop that down in..as usually they needed

mended at the toe or heel..You smooth the sock over it..and do

the repair on the hole.. Its very old.. It looks like one of those things

that rattle for Spanish dancing..a maraca? Or something like that.

Did you notice I said 'Upside down mirrors' ? they cant be up

or the shadows will go on the ceiling and the boy would go nutz and

get up on top my desk for sure.. and the reason they are on top

those vases? 3 guesses.. yup..the same reason I cant have REAL

plants or flowers.. the boy would attack and devour them and then

be sick all over the place :-)
On the left of the top of my desk under that brass can, hanging on

the side as you can see..are Native American Headdresses that I

made..they are made from beads and safety pins..arent they neat?

I have made tons of them for friends and sold them when I had my

shop.. many hang them from their rear view mirrors in their cars..

I make dream catchers too..those are so easy to make..and have

very special meaning..The dream catcher is to catch your bad

dreams..and then they let the good dreams through.. Many keep

these in their bedrooms by their beds.. My nephew was having

trouble sleeping I made him one..and told him HE had to hang

it up above his bed..and when he slept from then on ..he would

not have another bad dream.. Did you know it worked:? either

that or he just didn't tell anymore that he still had bad dreams..

I havent hung mine up here.. But I have a lovely one packed up..

I make them very elaborate, with feathers and beads and of

course the power to stop the bad dreams as I weave the threads

into the leather bound circle..I will have to find mine and take a

photo of it.. They are very powerful.. anything NA is.. I believe..

I have no proof..I wish I did..but from what my sister has said..we

are native American.. because we were adopted we have lost

our heritage..which I have been diligently trying to find out what I

can about my birth mother..she is said to be full blooded Chippewa

tribe.. I wish I could prove I was.. I would love to have my heritage

back and be able to say proudly I AM Native American.. I send out

every day to my email list a thing called Elders Meditation which to

everyone I send it to thinks it is very inspiring and thought provoking

its very good.. If you want on my mailing list for the things I send..

happy to send a mail to you every day well not on the week end..

I send out a Morning Coffee as well that is wonderful..THAT inspires

me.. These past bad days Ive had, the coffee sure has helped me

to lift my spirits and make me see and realize things that needed

me to pay attention to again.. They both are very good..

Well busy day, Penny and Heidi Both came..and I got up at 4am

today..wide awake. I have NO idea why so early, I don't think it was

because my clicker shut ME off at 730 last nite..I mean.. I wake up

and lights..tv..cats playing.. and here I am the only thing again that

got shut off.. something is wrong here I think :-).. I have a left over

egg roll from lunch..I couldn't help it.. I had to have Penny pick two

up for me when she got my Icee.. I LOVE eggrolls..Now to the

kitchen..then to the bed.. Maybe I should watch TV from my chair..

no..Id fall out when I get shut off :-) "Nitey Nite" :-)
