~Pennys Sick~
Right now its 11:30 am.. I'm writing this early as I got
up early as I fell asleep early! Soon as my head hit
the pillow to be exact. I did get a lot done, well I
have to charge my chair if that tells you anything.. I
moved the dresser in the bedroom back to the way
it was, I had Donnie move it for the bed, and it turned
out there is enough room for it to be along side the
bed.. I can get into it then too. As I unpack and get
things out its the re-arranging that gets to me to put
things where they go.. Less I have to move them the
better...
Penny called in sick today, said she has the flu and
wanted to know how I felt. She worries she gives me
stuff.. Penny is so exposed to stuff from the people
she cares for, her clients and the people at the Adult
House. She said she didn't know which end was worse.
So she gets worried that I would get something like
that. If I did, I would bring in my shower/potty chair.
and just make arrangements for someone, Penny or
someone to come every day. I do worry about that
though..
With a mailbox outside by the road I don't go out there
in the snow, I wait for Penny when she comes to go out
and get it for me. I plan to call and ask if I can move the
mailbox closer.. it sits in a milk can... Rusty mailbox...But
I know there is going to be a net flix out there and the
temperature is only 15 degrees outside.. SUPER cold...
I have a call in to the landlord about the awful draft in
the kitchen... It really is COLD.. that's NOT good at all,
being right next to the laundry room it gets cooler faster
and then the furnace clicks on more.. That's a real worry
for me is the gas bill... I couldn't afford a 263.oo one like
they said was last year... I will talk to Joe about it...But
I will ask the lunch delivery girl if she will go out and get
my mail for me today.. I'm sure she will...
I'm posting early as I have some more I want to do yet
today and I think I am gonna take a nap or just sit and
watch TV for a few, I know I didn't see much last nite!.
Time for lunch, posting and sayin my GORGEOUS
WEEBLE "G'Day, G'Day"... :-)
WEEBLE "G'Day, G'Day"... :-)
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and THANKS!!!
Always, Lois ****
"God Bless You", is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you "friend".
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again....

Hi, Honey,
Two things are good to help keep viruses at bay - Echinacea and garlic.I think I have mentioned Echinacea before. It certainly helps to keep colds at bay.
We are lucky, here. Because Ines and I are both over 65, we get a free flu jab every year. We have both had ours for this year. Maybe your insurance would cover you for one?
Like you say, it is most impotant for you to stay clear of any nasties.
Take care, Honey,
Luv Ya,
Raife

Thanks Raife for the Echinacea information, I knew garlic plus vit C is good for cold or viruses...I take more of them when I get under the weather.
So sorry to hear Penny is under the weather now.
15 F is real cold to me Lois, it is 36 F right now here.
I still got a little more painting to do in the house, wanted to get it done this afternoon, hoping Saturday to get it done.
Put another battery in the Van, there goes a 100 dollar. but will be able to take Becky to church again.
God bless you Lois
Mary

As a health worker - each year I get the flu shots Last year I had the flue in spite of having the shot - I want to protect my patients who may have a weak immune system and me.
