~Rabbit Aint Scared~ :-)

We had a storm yesterday and I was sitting in my favorite
place and was so surprised, as hard as the rain was coming
down, there was a rabbit just calmly eating out there ! I
saw him really not too worried about the lightening and
thunder so I didn't worry about it either. BUT, a thought
DID cross my mind.. With rubber tires, I hope this chair
is grounded.. I'm sitting full view in this chair and I KNOW
lightening will strike through a window.. Ive SEEN that
happen. And that's ALL I would need now is to get struck
and fried by a lightening bolt :-) Wouldn't that just be my
luck? Specially sitting on top of 2 batteries :-)
I had a very nice surprise later yesterday, I got a phone call,
then a visit.. It was Joe, my landlord, came to bring me
the sink strainer for the kitchen sink, said he had been
carrying it around for 3 days and decided it was time to
bring it :-) It fit perfectly, Penny will be happy.. Well.....
while he was here, he said "I think I might have enough
scrap lumber to make a deck out here". meaning the back.
He knows just a ramp from the door wont work.. There
HAS to be a platform to be able to manage the door if
I am by myself..If I would be in a power chair be ok, but
a manual its not possible to hold a chair on a ramp and
try to open a door, that's what was wrong with the apt.
I shot out of that living room door like a bullet, cuz of
the ramp..but to get back in? Fooey, I had a hell of a
time, so much so I did NOT go out that door either..
But Joe seems to think he can or can have maybe Carl
build a deck.. And even if its just plain..that's ok.. I KNOW
I offer stuffed cabbage rolls I bet Donnie would deck out
my deck for me :-) I mean like railings, and just Nice. I
was telling a friend this morning about my plans I see for
that cement slab out there, what I would LIKE to see out
there. A nice arch with a fence maybe only on the corners
enough so morning glories could climb. Put a nice birdhouse
out there.. It really could be a nice haven for the birds,
but a treat for me as well.. They LOVE that birdbath..And
the hummer family they have even been out there..

I had a REALLY special site yesterday, sadly I couldn't get
the camera in time.. I was looking at the sunflowers, and I
had to look twice, sitting on the big one was a GOLDFINCH.
It was so beautiful I just sat and stared at it.. This morning
I saw 2 as in TWO of them out there digging at the seeds
in that bloom.. I am SO GLAD Penny planted them ! NOW...
If I can just get a photo of them I will really be pleased...

Isnt it amazing at how just small little things can make you
feel good? It does me.. Every time I smile or laugh because
I am enjoying these birds and the critters outside, not to
mention my boys here that are ALWAYS doing something.
Specially Dutch... I sure named him right. Hes such a stinker.
He makes you think, go ahead, touch me.. then he will sniff
your fingers then quick as a wink he will either try to bite
you or slap at you.. He gets Penny all the time, shes still a
sucker for him, think she would learn by now.. :-) But he
gets her just about every time she comes.. She says her
mama to be kittie is fat and mean.. She expects the babies
soon.. Said she can feel them moving inside the mom.. I
am still debating to get one or not.. If I got a new pet I
think I would rather a dag.. but then that's not really a
easy thing since they have to go outside and then there
is the grass cutting issue regarding dog poopies..so I
don't want to add to that... :-)

What this GORGEOUS WEEBLE is going to have to add
is lunch to my schedule. I am a tad hungry. I have some
left over spaghetti which is ALWAYS better the next
day that I will heat up.. Other than finishing up this
quilt I have a clear schedule for the rest of the day.
So I shall watch my back yard.. Life is good :-)
But.. I SHALL RETURN! :-)

Y'all have a good one now Y'hear? Luv ya and thanks!
Always, Lois ****

"God Bless You" is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you friend.
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...

    Hi, Honey,
We have Goldfinches here, too. I wonder if they are the same as yours? I know our robins are not a bit like yours. But goldfinches are SO pretty. We often have them on the seed feeder. A little while ago, we had long-tailed tits descend on the nut feeder. With all those long tails (there were about 12 of them) it looked like a big hedgehog!
But don't the birds just make your day?
    Take care, Honey,
    Luv Ya,
    Raife

So much happens in your life. I spend a lot of time doing introspection - I have a whole life to review.

    Hello Lois
A good day here for us, we got to walk at the walking trail at the hospital today...hoping to do that twice a week. Will be so good for Bob right now. Patsy was wanting to walk with us,but her paper work took to long for her to walk with us. She going to start her pain shots again on Thursday and every other week times 3. She has to have someone spend 24 hours with her each time...Bob is doing good now and Patsy is in a lot of pain...Our vacation and then the fall put it all off for her.
    God bless you Lois.
    Mary

    Hi, Honey,
Just had a thought (a stranger in a lonely place!!) Your rubber tyres would save you in a lightning strike because you would NOT be grounded - so the electricity would not pass through you. Probably the safest place to be in a thunder storm outside would be sitting in a car with the doors closed. You would be in what scientists would call a "Faraday Cage". The metal would guide the electricity away from you.
    Hope that is some reassurance!!
    Take care, Honey,
    Luv Ya,
    Raife

    Hi Beautiful,
Well - a deck would sure be great, no doubt about it. I'm sure you would really enjoy it!
Goldfinches are really something. We get lots of them in our yard. We have a small feeder, with very tiny holes for small beaks, and we fill it with thistle seed - the goldfinches really like that. It is fun to watch the males change color - especially in the spring when they go to that real bright yellow.
Hope you have a great day!
    Bare Hugs,
    Butty
