~A Lake is A Great Cooler ~

There were some really bad storms up by where my
niece lives farther north. Trees down and the TV said
that they had not seen that many lightening strikes in
a storm for a long time. One of the TV stations, got
hit and was off air for a while.. I went back and forth
watching the sky and we were spared here, it did rain
and was extremely hot yesterday, 95 out there. I had
NO idea, I was cool.. I love this central air.. I'm hoping
what Donnie says is true that it will be cheaper to run
than a window unit.. I told him hes just saying that cuz
he doesn't have central air and I gave him my window
unit that I had at the little house for his bedroom, So
I think hes worried I might want it back...:-) And With
this heat he needs it.. Although he can just jump in the
lake to cool down.. :-) THATS a good Cooler :-)
I used to really like swimming after supper. When the
sun went down. When all the family gathered usually at
Fortune Lake, during the day my parents and other
family, aunts and uncles, they usually waited till after
supper to all go swimming.. Most of the day crowd had
gone and the water at that time of day was so WARM!
It was a fun time.. All of my family are, were very sporty
liked the water all were great swimmers, well not my
mom or my aunt Gladys, they usually would wade out to
about their waists and then just splash around.

My dad and my uncles were the ones that were fun.. My
dad would make a step with his hands and I would step
on them and he would lift up as hard as he could and
flip me over into the water.. Was great fun.. He did that
once to me though and the water was a bit too shallow
and I hit bottom too hard.. We made sure after that
we did that in deeper water. My cousins were great
swimmers, so if I wanted to join them and the older
crowd like my sister out at the 'big dock' I HAD to
know how to swim... Which I did :-) I wasn't getting
left on shore :-)

I sent Penny to Family Dollar, we are out of bird seed.
I saw the cardinal out there I think hes eyeing up the
sunflower :-) Hes gonna love that.. I watched the hummers
yesterday and I followed where HumHim went after he
flew off from the feeder. He went up into the pine tree.
Do you see him there? He sits there ALL the time . I
havent seen humher up there. But she was around a lot
yesterday. Penny changes their water at least twice a
week, which I think they like.. :-)

What I would like is some lunch.. same problem of WHAT.
I have NO idea. Ive just not really had an appetite for
anything.. I do want to make some zuchinni later so I just
may wait and do that.. Ive not had a lot of energy. It got
up and left I think with out me ! :-) Penny offers to make
any thing I want, but I don't know what that is either :-)
Decisions decisions.. life is so hard :-) Naaah.. This
GORGEOUS WEEBLE has problems and crap coming at
her all the time, but I still say, "Life is good" oh and...
"I'll be back ! :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? luv ya and thanks !
Always, Lois ****

"God Bless You" is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you Friend.
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...

    Hi, Honey,
Yes, Rebecca IS a pretty girl. Not as gorgeous as a certain Weeble of my acquaintance, though!!
You really are getting good at this nature photography! That is a super picture of the Chipmunk on the ground, eating. It shows the stripes in his coat so well.
Splurge guns, all three of them, are finished. Just need a coat of stain/varnish on the woodwork. Ines is taking them over on Thursday, when I should be free to chat!
To-morrow it is Exford Show - a typical country show with classes for horses and ponies, jumping and gymkhana events. Lots of stalls, too. Trouble is, the weather may break.
    Take care, Honey,
    Luv Ya,
    Raife
