~sunflowers~

The sunflowers are just beautiful.. Look how many will

be blooming out there. Penny and I talked about them

and neither of us knew about these short kind. I like

them.. There will be so many seeds the birds will go

nutz.. :-) I will save some of the seeds for to plant next

summer though now that I know what they will grow

into.. And these came from the birdseed... :-)
The new kind that Penny got, I don't know what is in

it but this yard yesterday after noon I bet I had 50

birds out there at a time if not more.. The birdbath

got such a work out was funny watching the birds

fight for a seat on the edge of it..
I hadnt seen these little guys bathe, yesterday they

all took baths.. Took Penny awhile to clean it out today.

For the 10 dollars, with bath and sand that it cost, it

was worth EVERY dime, and to be honest worth lots

more, for what its given me AND the birds :-)
A friend phoned, asked what I was doing and I, of

course was sitting at the back door.. While I was talking

all this action was going on outside. All the birds, then

the chipmunk got brave, and I'm trying to talk to my friend

while I'm watching this chippie run for his life.!.
He would run as fast as he could over to the seeds and I

could almost see him vacuuming them up and then make a

mad dash over by the garage, then run back and do this

over and over.. I gave a running narrative of the chippies

escapades :-) I have so many pictures its pathetic, but

I LOVE taking photos.. I just wish... see? I should be

satisfied with what I have.. :-) I am.. Really, but it COULD

be neater and so beautiful out there. I can see it, in my

minds eye :-) If not this year, next year...

I am so glad that Kelli and Alex are coming on Saturday!
around 10 or so.. Jorge has to work so Kelli has time with

Alex by herself.. They need that since she works every

day. I cant wait to see him. I KNOW hes gotten so much

bigger :-) They plan to come for brunch.. I will send Penny

to the store to get all their favs and some extras for Alex

that she said he likes.. which is fruit snacks.. So Penny

will get some for him.. Hes got to enjoy his trip to see his

great gran, so that he will want to come back again :-) I

WILL be taking pictures.. Depending on how long she stays

we may venture outside :-) I have that nice yard for him

to play in. If they came up more often I would get a swing

set :-) Well that's what Grans are sposta do.. Spoil them,

and I wont miss a chance to do that.. :-)

Lunch time and I don't wanna miss that either. Just a light

sandwich today and some fried zucchini later. I did some

slices last nite, I don't have to tell you how good it was
if you like breaded fried zucchini slices.. you already know

how good it is.. I am so enjoying these veggies from the

COA.. I should call and thank them.. Was very nice of them

to give them to me.. All of it was SO good! note... WAS :-)

TIme to post and get something else done today.. SO.....
