~Lunch Wasnt Bad!~ for a change...

Lunch today was one of the very few good ones they do bring..Chili
and cornbread..and a salad..I don't eat the salad..its just lettuce any
way, nothing else but some buttermilk ranch packets of dressing
which Im not a fan of that dressing at all, but it seems the ONLY
kind they ever bring for some reason..There were crackers..but
not soda crackers..whole wheat, which do not go with it either.

I have my own anyway..But I do like the cornbread- I drop

into my chili in chunks..to soak up the juice..that's good..

They do have really good chili..I like it..

I notice at lunch today and Ive noticed at dinner time if I eat

in the evening.. I used to always take my food into the bed

room and eat in front of the TV, it was like having company,

someone to look at across my 'table' so to speak..I miss

that.. Now I sit and look at the wall..or what im eating or at

the cats..I feel really by myself then..and sadly..honestly, it

makes me lose my appetite.. which I guess can be a good

thing lol..for diet purposes that is. :-) but it makes me think of

a lot of others that I know are alone..and I bet they feel the

same way..its not a great feeling..it makes you more aware

of the fact that you are by yourself, for some, thats such a

really bad depressing thing..does NOT help...

The lunch today was good, very good..but it comes in a card

board 3 compartment rectangular box I guess..its not a plate,

it has clear cellophane over the top to keep the food in each

of the compartments.. I posted a photo quite a while back of

a lunch I had gotten that quite frankly looked like it had already

been eaten once you know? that's gross but..well. fact too!!

But my point is..if the food your eating doesn't look like it, well.

SHOULD be eaten..and your there already feeling bad cuz

your by your self..what does that do to a person? Its not a

good thing! I asked the COA people about this..cant the food

look better? I mean sure we get it for nothing..but..come on..

some of these dearies that get this..this is their ONLY meal..

and it they see this? and now..are by them selves..is this not

DEPRESSING? I think its horribly so.. who would feel like

eating with being alone..and it looking like "HERE EAT IT
AND SHUT UP"..that's how I feel..

The ladies that deliver it are lovely, so friendly and will talk and

make sure your doing ok..theyre the greatest..they havent a

thing to do about this food..Ive complained trust me..I told

COA ..most of the dearies..(seniors) that get these meals..or

the ones get their home services..they are scared, scared to

say a word.. for fear they will lose their services.. I KNOW . I

DO know this for a fact.. I talked to a girl at the phone company,

told her I had just gotten my coa meal..she said "My gramma

does too, sometimes she says its just not very good"..I asked

does Gramma complain to anyone about it..which she said "no..

not that she knew of, only to me" I proceeded to tell her this same

thing..gramma was probly afraid to, and why didn't SHE call and

tell them.. "HEY, I saw my gramma's lunch ..and it was really bad

looking and she ate it anyway.." tell them for her.. but don't say

who her is..then gramma wont worry and they wont know.. She

thought that was a great idea..and she was gonna call..She said

she wished she could make it so her gramma didn't need it..but

gramma enjoyed the company of the drivers too..which is a huge

part of it..These are the only people I see some days..I know when

theyre going to be here and expect them..I know these other

dearies..do the same thing..specially those with no one at all, not

just the dearies..but anyone that's home bound..and gets this.

I hope she calls, and I hope they fix this..someone needs to..

I had a great surprise today, well all 3 of us did.. Raelynn came by

for a visit..the boys were just so happy to see her..they sniffed her

all over..just happy to smell her kitties I think..and her too..LB said

hi..rubbed her leg a bit..then went back up to his chair..Dutch he

just did some happy jumps up on her legs..and sniffed and then

sat back down ..waiting ..to see what she was going to do to HIM.

She always pokes a finger at him..and he will lick it and pretend

hes mad..slap at her .. and we could tell he was watching her..

when she did he went to look for the famous 'string'..We had a

nice visit..and ..I will show you tomorrow what she did for me..lol

yup..she took the new camera outside..and took some photos

of the ramp..and my back yard..this new camera is just great..

I am amazed at what it can do..how clear and nice the pictures are..

I even know how to use it! I should though..sheesh..I bet I read that

manual..I printed it out ..thank GOD! I would have been clickin my

butt off here going back and forth LOL..I think I can pretty much ...

safely ..operate this thing.. I just have to figure out a way to get

enough time to roll away from the camera with the timer and take

one of me.. I could roll myself to death doing that on this carpet

well at least till my arms fell off!! I WILL figure a way tho.. you

KNOW I will.. lol.. I didnt get time to shrink them down to put here

but I will tomorrow for sure..theyre so good..

RIght now I WILL go and eat a couple cookies..and I WILL log off

this puter and I WILL get up on my bed..and I bet I WILL fall

asleep.. I was going to take a nap today..but Alma..came by

today too! We had a great visit.. was a nice day today..AND..I

WILL say now .. cuz im tired...Nitey nite.. :-)
