~SNOW Time AGAIN !~ :-)

Really bad out side here today and steadily getting worse.
This storm is going right straight across and when it hit
that lake..well it grew and we got it lol. I heard Chicago didn't
get nuthin..and its almost due west of me in a straight line,
and not hardly anything Ive heard..The streets here are almost
deserted but of course there are some have NO choice but
to drive.. Many that went to work this morning I bet have been
keeping a watch, I havent had the radio on which I guess I
should..I have no doubts school will probly be closed, which
sure causes a lot of problems for parents if they both work
and have young kids at home.

I can remember when I was getting ready for school I would
check out the temperature gauge to see how cold it was so
I knew whether to wear pants under my skirt to stay warm,
I walked about 8 blocks to school maybe less depending
which way I went, I could see the school from the kitchen
window, and I enjoyed the walk, I had to go past the park
and foot ball field, down and up a big hill..when we graduated
the ceremony was outside..and we all gathered out in the
school parking lot in our gowns and caps and in two's we
walked from the school down and up this huge hill and into
the park and up to the football field. The ceremony was
so nice, they don't do it that way anymore I don't think , my
own graduation was the last one I went to..

All through school they sat us in alpabetical order of course,
and my last name started with a Wood..... and there was Peter
his last name started with a Wur... and then there was Dale,
his last name started with Wod.. those 2 all during the whole
ceremony kept telling jokes, really funny ones, we are sitting
there laughing not paying attention to anything, not even this
huge bug that had started to crawl up my chair..when I did see
it, I got UPSET..I panic.!. I said to Dale, "get that bug off my
chair!" it was huge! like a big grasshopper..one of those stick
bugs or something ..and Im not a fan of BUGS..Dale..being
Dale sat there and let me squirm for a while I couldn't do too
much we were right in the middleof the class speaches of how
good we are all gonna do in the future .. well. Dale grabs this
bug and pretends it jumped on my back..it really didn't.. I panic..
jump straight up and yell "GET IT OFF ! " as I jump straight up
and im doing circles back there in the last row of seats-Dale
and Peter are just laffin like crazy.. I realize I had stood up and
yelled and made a spectacle of myself and that WHOLE place
FULL of people were NOW staring at ME!! I almost just melted..
I stepped back to sit in my chair - when I had jumped up.. I didn't
realize I had knocked my chair over, when I sat...yup..I sat on the
ground !!! I jump straight up again, grab my chair and sat down
I KNOW I was as red as lipstick..I was so embarrased I could
have died, needless to say I bet no one has forgotten that
graduation.. I heard about that for weeks after, my mom didn't
talk about it a lot but my dad teased me and my one uncle Ernie,
he teased me horribly for a long time..called me Buggy lol...This
was in June of 1963.. then I was off to nursing school up in that
great town of Marquette, NMU now..wasn't back then, was just
a college, now its a huge University.

Marquette is built almost on the side of a huge hill and each
street that goes east ends up going up to the Lake..Superior.
I put some photos here a while back of a tour of Presque Isle
there..and the iron ore ships that have docks there. Theres a
prison as well but its only for those that are on life sentences.
You can drive through it, we did many times on our trips up
there its at a beautiful spot too right across from the lake.
there is a gift shop there or used to be that the inmates sold
things they made, had a wonderful flower garden when you
came in and the grounds were just gorgeous and well kept by
the inmates..

My boy has been steadily monitoring outside today and we
had fun for awhile on the couch.. hes never seen me get on
there but the one time ..when I fell out my chair at the apt. I
had tried to take some pictures out that window and I didn't
wanna end up doing a splits like I almost did a while back
so I just got on the couch and both the boys kinda liked that.
My couch is about 8 foot long, and it IS very comfy.. I got a
pillow and me and the boys laid there and played and had
a good time, I think I even dozed off for a while..till the mail
man scared me when he clunked the lid on the mail box . I
was surprised they even delivered..but they say ..snow and
sleet and all that crap don't stop em..I did get a lovely
Valentine tho.sure made my day.. Ive not gotten one in the
mail since .hmmm long time..funny how just a card can make
a person happy hey?

I still havent figured out what lunch was and didn't need it I,,
well Penny put it together ..made my crock pot of some
great beef and barley soup..its really good. I hadnt had those
great oyster crackers in ages and Penny picked up some
of those for me too. so im going to get my 2nd bowl for today,
and go and crawl up on my bed and see what this weather is
doing on the TV. I still cant get over that one place getting
11 feet of snow.. wow.. hope we don't lol.. but im stocked up
and I could last a long time if I don't lose heat or power.
Time for food..time for TV time to say Nitey Nite..:-)

Y'all have a good one now Y'hear? love ya.. and thanks :-)
Always. Lois ****

God Bless you is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe
until I write again..

The snow has started in nyc. I put out rock salt earlier. My lunch many days consists of 3 1/2 sandwiches:
Salmon paste, and curried bean paste
    cottage cheese and olive paste
    and peanut butter & jelly.
I will go out at 22h or 10pm just to see what the snow is like. They are expecting about 10cm 100mm or 4 inches.

Everything is snowy here, though there is much less snow in Boston than at home. I imagine that my cats are in the windows watching it come down too.

I have been treating the older cat for fungus in her ears. All I can say is: Gross!

    Have a good day.

    Dearest dear one!
I feel deeply with you, cuz i HATE SNOW..... Snow is the worst thing God has created, wonders if he has? It must be that other guy that has created snow, you know the tailed guy with horns and horsefeets..... Bah snow is something to get nightmares from..... But sweet dreams is something better, and as i have told you. You give me that.
Take care of whats left of you, hug yourself warm and think some warm thoughts about me. Until we meet in cyberheaven.
