~Chair Delivery~

Today they delivered a temporary Power Chair.. I only just this

past half hour have checked it out.. Its an Inva care..a lot different

than mine. The joy stick..well control knobbie..is on the left.. That

may prove to be a problem for a while..as Im right handed. My

other is on the right.. I prefer on the right.. Also I notice the cushion

is smaller and back about 2 inches or so from where the foot rest

would go. The delivery man brought the feet thingies..I guess they

didn't pay attention or was not mentioned I didn't need them.

Although I have seen some that use the foot things to carry like a

basket. I don't as I transfer straight on and need the closeness. He

brought the battery charger which is a lot smaller and lighter than

the one I have, which Im glad and it charges the same way thru

the front where the joystick is..its quite temperamental I found out

Real fast..and not as maneuverable I think. The front tires are

different as well.

I didnt take a photo as Im really tired to nite as I did NOT sleep

very good last nite.. I will tomorrow or maybe wait till sunday and

when I put my sunday photo i will be in this new chair..well rented

chair.. It does have a cushion I dont think will work..Its a gel..and

there is like a well type spot right under my butt, when the

weight of my butt hits it..where does the gel go? to the sides and

I am left sitting on a few wrinkles which are NOT a doable thing.

not for me anyway.. I cannot sit on wrinkles.. Also I notice that the

well where i guess a SKINNY butt would fit there is a edge on the

i guess front edge..that hits my left stump about half way and of

course farther to the edge on the right..and IT is not comfy.. I will

check it out over the week end and the guy said if I have ANY

problems to call anytime and gave me the 800 number..the place

this came from is only maybe a half hour or so down the road.. It

would not take them long to get here.

I checked this chair over and made sure I understood how to do

all the charging etc..and it has a seat belt on it which I dont need..

to me they are dangerous. I had a problem when I was in the

Hell Home for a while where I would just fall asleep..No warning

just my eyes close and I was sleeping..I fell out of my chair twice

at the home.. They put a seat belt on my chair after the first fall

out . I blacked my eye really bad and put a knot on my forehead

that you could see a mile away, but I fell out again and I had that

seat belt on..when I fell I went straight forward..when I hit the floor

the chair came behind me and smacked me again..was NOT

a good thing and Ive not used one since..it didnt stop me from

falling out and I Honest dont think it would not once the momentum

was there and no legs to stop the fall..it was gonna happen, no

stopping it.. at the home to keep people in the chairs they had like

a rubber tray type thingie to hold them in..worked really well. None

of them could figure out how to get it off their chair gave them

something to do for hours.. Poor Joe worked all day , finally got

it really loose was about to make that final jerk and get it out.

a nurse came up and pushed it back in and..well, he was a

little Italian man..I KNOW he said a few choice words In Italian

to her and I could pretty much figure out what they were he

was so mad lol..

My boys are not real thrilled with this new chair..They both are

used to going thru underneath and now they cant..Dutch is NOT

pleased..they both have checked it out.. Ive been sitting in it

now for about an hour and I can already tell my left stump is off

the end of the seat..and I can feel the wrinkles already..So I dunno

if this is gonna work.. If I cant use it then no use in it being here,

someone else may be able to use it too.. I know this cushion is

NOT good. This new chair will be one that raises up and down

to give me height I need to reach things better which will be a

good thing.. I know I wont stay in my power chair constantly I cant

risk losing the arm strength but I will use it most of the time. I

am going to make arrangements to pull the carpet up here I think

sure would solve alot of problems..

I logged off early last night right after I posted and I actually got

to watch some tv I watched that survivor..and they put this woman

alone on a island that had SNAKES ALL over..SEA snakes.. I

dont know but. I just dont think they could pay me enough money

to abuse myself like that..Do these people do these things and

subject themselves to that CRAP for money or to just be able

to say I did the survivor show, they dont get but 10,000.oo I

think..for me to spend even an HOUR on a SNAKE island ?

well cost them alot more than THAT .. I dont like snakes and

bugs and that crawly stuff.. spiders and that..Im NOT a bug

person.. I dont like to use worms for bait.. I can use a live

minnow or a shrimp..but not at worm or night crawler..no ..too

much like a snake..that hook hits them and they just curl and

twist around tell me they dont feel it.. no I dont like fishing with

worms..My ex had to bait my hook for me if that was the bait

we had to use..or I used a lure..depended what we were fishing

for.. how did i get on this? lol. anyway..

I must have watched.. no.CLICKED channels for about 2,3 hours

I did get to watch Grays Anatomy.. I really like that show..very

real type people on it.. and doesnt center around just one of them

but a bunch..its a good show..last nites will be continued next

week.. was good last nite. Then I watched some chefs cook all

this fancy smancy stuff that well I didnt even really like the looks

of and I dont know if I would have wanted it. Probly cost a fortune

in a restaurant for it. I prefer good old meat and potatoes..give

me a T-Bone steak.baked potato..and Im good.. I prefer..lol I

havent mentioned this in a while.. what?? French Fries and

Gravy.. I still have not made any here YET.. lol.. But anyway the

boy was chasing shadows alot last nite, both were very restless

and the 2 stinkers have slept alot today .. I fell asleep about 1 or

so and got up at 7 and I have been tired all day.. I havent eaten

anything just for that reason ..cuz when I do I KNOW that will be

the same as hitting that eyes shut button on that tv clicker in

there lol.. So its time for me to shut down and check out this

chair some more and see if I can maneuver it better than I did

when I first got in it..lol ya.. I ran into the desk tilted it back and

just about cleared off the top of it lol. I better get a little bit of

practice in.. I think I will take my manual up to the bed..If I do

get a URGENT potty call I prefer my manual..until I can get

used to this one.. so im gonna say "Nitey Nite"
