~Potty - Chair~

I have been talking about my new potty chair, which is just what it
is now.. my potty is now a chair..and boy let me tell you a huge
difference.. The lid and seat are still there you see them behind
the riser..the chair railing goes across the back of the seat and
attaches to the toilet with the lid..the front legs are adjustable, as
some toilets are bigger than others..for some reason this is a lot
smaller toilet than the one I had at the apartment..You cant see
where the bowl is cracked in 2 places.. This is a different riser as
well .this one has a screw in front..If you look closely at the front
center of the riser you can see a angle..where the front has a
sort of opening and not flat across which is good too..

To anchor this riser to the toilet there is a screw a round knobby
thing that you wind..and underneath is a vice like thing that anchors
it to the front of the toilet but snugs it down in..so it doesn't rock..its
the same height of a riser as the other but far better as it more
stable and by being so tight when you tighten that screw will it come
up at the back when you sit on the front as it does go deeper into
the toilet..:-) there..now you know ALL the specifics of a potty chair.
Oh and notice the nice padded arm rests? works if you sit facing
away from the back or facing the back like I do.. I pull my chair up
to the very front of it.. and lock down of course and scoot forward
and sit facing the back.. I just tell everything don't I? well this is for
anyone with a disability or a senior..do you know how much safer
this is for an elderly person to sit on a toilet? and many don't know
there is such a thing. Oh, and that paint on the floor? no no was
NOT me it was there..whom ever painted this place was the piggy,
NOT me.. :-)

Now..please to notice my new shower curtain..Do NOT look at
the wrinkles..its been hanging for weeks and they just wont come
out so it may have to be ironed.. but the flowers are ribbon ,
My sis got this for me on sale of course, she can find everything
on sale.. this was the curtain I had hoped to get..but..the one I
saw was $30.oo.. and she got the exact same one..on sale for
$5.oo .. It looks so pretty, you can see the curtains there, where
the power chair was..and the bottom of that wreath over on the
right? well that's the one that is hung where they had put a towel
rack, must have been for a giant..Penny took the towel rack off,
there were 2, one is farther up and to the left.. well I put a screw
back in and hung up the wreath..I didn't do that right away and
the boy saw that spot and the screw reflecting and well he saw
and has to have.. I bet ive hung that wreath back up a dozen
times. Hes so bound and determined to get what he wants..
He is just like a person I know :-D but If I can get that floor done
my bathroom would be so pretty and its huge..only bad thing is
I have to keep my food pantry in there and some of my clothes
in the closet.. I have skirts and long sleeved tops in this one..
I wish I had more closet space.. see that medicine cabinet?
I cant reach that at all, there is an electric outlet about the
middle on the right side you can just see it, out of reach...

If this was my house it could easily be made so nice ..a lot can
be done to it..as big as this bath is..and right next to the bed
room I would make them join and make a bigger closet..I have
one in the bedroom and its the same size, I keep my short
sleeve and floor length stuff in there.. I do wear floor length some
times..I have a couple of silk caftans, a huge rectangle of material
with armholes and neck opening and they are so nice for sleep.
Specially being silk.. I have photo of me in one but its all tucked
up and you would not know its floor length. My stumps get cold
at night for some reason, I have to keep them covered and when
I wear floor length they stay covered better when I sleep.

I only had one appointment today..well I forget.I thought I had two,
one with Theresa from CMH, that must be for next week..that was
with my caseworker from APS..Julia..she was sposta be here at 1,
called and changed to 330 , I wasn't very pleased as that is the
time I try to nap..from when Penny leaves till post time..then I
get up, write and then go back to bed..no- I stay up for a few and
clear out my Inbox and reply to those I need to and just drop a
line to some that I havent heard from in a long time and wonder if
they are ok or if I had maybe run them off and some to just make
sure they are doing ok, to let them know I havent forgotten them.
I get some really funny stuff that I love to share too and will send
them along.. Then I HAVE to play a game of spider solitare and
lose of course, no..I do win.. then I leave my computer , well first
I have to cover the monitor with newspaper cuz my screensaver
will change pictures..and that means shadows on the wall..and
you KNOW what THAT means..I have a routine..then I have to
go into the bathroom and take the cushion out of my chair and
leave it in there and then don't forget my phone..cuz I aint comin
back out to get it once im in my bedroom..THEN I go up to my
bed..get on it..lay down..of course get my clicker,get comfy ....
and see how much TV I can watch before my eyes slam shut.
THEN.. I say "nitey nite" :-)

Y'all have a good one now , Y'hear? love ya. and thanks..:-)
Always, Lois ****

God Bless you is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe
until I write again..

    Hi, Honey,
That potty chair looks really great - a very sturdy and sensible thing, to keep my Fav Weeble safe. Actually, anyone can sit 'tother way round, if they feel like it. I've tried, so I know!!
I know it's taking an age, but you ARE getting things sorted out, bless you. Take care, Hon. L.O.L. & G.B.H.from

    Hi Raife,
I sure have missed you! so glad your back safe and sound.. Ya its really not easy to sit backwards as you have to really spread your legs apart..and me with none its not too hard.. but sure anyone can sit backwards..I dont think theres a rule is there? lol..
It works for me and this chair around It has helped me so much.

Ive had to back away from it all for a while, but its only the eye of the storm so to speak..I hope these stress causers know "I'll be back!" lol.. it aint over..nope..Just a pause..lol..
Take care and glad your back..
    Always Lois ****
