~Another Challenge~

Todays challenge was spiders! ok ONE ...but it was a kind I don't
remember seeing before unless its a mutant.. It was white, almost
transparent..and looked fluffy kinda... NOW, guess where this spider
was? Well, to start this.. I was at my desk listening to some music
and getting some things ready to mail..and I hear Dutch steady
squeaking out in the kitchen.. When he does that something is wrong.
This is like at 5:30 this morning now..and I have only just started
drinking my first coffee..I KNOW im a GORGEOUS WEEBLE,
but well at that time of the morning I am NOT at my very best,
mood, either...Dutch was just carrying on like its something
really drastic ...so I HAD to go and look....
I roll through the door and I look for him and I don't see him
anywhere, my first thought was he got trapped under the
kitchen sink again..but that was closed off..I hear another of
his squeaks and look up and hes sitting on top of the fridge
looking up at the ceiling, so naturally I look to see what he is
looking at.. And THERE IT WAS!!! A SPIDER!!!.. that thing
was headed right over top of my head ! I backed up back
into the living room and real fast went into my bedroom where
there was a handle to my old carpet sweeper. There was
nothing up here I could get to, Penny hangs the broom and
mop in the basement . This was the only thing I could think of
that might reach the ceiling... I grab it..I have to tuck it under
my chin so I can roll my chair ...
I get back into the kitchen and I look up trying to find where the
spider has run off to, and it was still up there just Going back and
forth across the ceiling driving Dutch totally insane, hes up on
the fridge going around in circles trying to reach it... LB hes over
laying on the blue thing in front of the window looking at the two
idiots Getting all bent out of shape over some little white furry
spider.! I get sort of not really UNDER this thing, but I almost
have to as the handle of this thing I bet isnt any longer than 4 foot
maybe? I reach up and well I didn't reach it of course, so I have
to sort of hold on with my left hand and try to really almost stand
in this chair if Im gonna reach the ceiling.. well I reached it...and
I hit the spider. Being up like that I was off balance and so was
the handle thing it went farther than what I expected and it hit
the ceiling light, it swayed, and I knocked a little tiny chunk out
of it and it has a slight crack now..Im lucky that didn't fall down.
Look close at LB's mouth..do you see that smirk there? I do..:-)
Well I didn't see where the spider went, I looked all over the floor
and the walls, and at Dutch. As close as he was watching I thought
he would have kept an eye on it..Well he didn't see it either.. So
I sat there for a little while, Dutch got down off the fridge and LB
well hes still over on the blue thing watching us, I know he was
shaking his head and laffing.. Well anyway I see Dutch jump up
at the wall..the white facing around the hallway by the bakers
rack.. I roll closer and here is that spider running as fast as it can
up the wall ! I still had the handle thing and smacked it with that
and well this house is minus one white fuzzy spider, I just hope
he doesn't have any relatives... :-) I don't do bugs.. and whos
gonna notice a small crack in a light fixture when you have 10
foot ceilings? Shhh...don't tell.. :-D So, THAT was todays drama.
I had expected and sort of hoped 4 people would come by today,
and only 1 did, Penny. I had thought Heidi was, but she phoned and
said tomorrow, Ken, he said he was coming but I havent heard
anything and I forgot to ask Penny if the tarp was still in the garage.
The 4th was Robert, the lawn mower guy. I sure hope he comes
soon or the city will give me a ticket for the grass being too long. I
called the COA last week about it..so I will call again tomorrow. It
has to be done.. As long as Penny showed up that's the main one.
I treated to breakfast and we got a lot done.. shes a good kid. :-)

Penny brought up some things from the basement that were beyond
saving.. I had a huge box of sewing thread, every color there is..I bet
over 100 spools and almost every one was moldy and smelled.. I
sent her down with a camera so I could see what was what and I was
really sad to see it..My wood dining room chairs had mold growing
on them.. my old cedar chest that was made back in the late 40's is
solid mold.. I am so upset about it..and there is nothing I can do ....
I did talk to Heidi today about finding out about this grant, if its a
permanent thing for me being disabled, as it stands now its only for
2 years and no extensions.. If that's the case for me, I will have to
look for HUD housing again.. which would more than likely mean
an apartment... I couldn't rent a house on just my income...not
possible... I need to get all my ducks in a row..look how fast this
year has gone that I have been in this house..the 23rd of this month
I will have been in here a year..was a Tuesday last year I think..
Maybe Ken will Get this house HUD subsidized..that would be one
less worry for me when this grant is up.. I have to start my plan of
attack...

Right now its time to attack my kitchen, lunch wasn't very good so
I didn't eat much of it so I am kinda hungry I may make a pimento
cheese sandwich with a nice slice of tomato on it..That's good
stuff...I forgot to get more pumpkin cookies..ratz..oh well.. I don't
really need sweets , GORGEOUS WEEBLES are ALWAYS
SWEET :-) on that note im saying "nitey nite"... :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear ? love ya and THANKS! :-)
Always, Lois ****

God Bless you, is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again.....

Lois you got real good pictures of your boys...love the one on the fridge...when Pam was 3 years old, we found her on top of the fridge...we wonder how she make it up there...from then on I keep thing on top of the fridge.Wish I had a picture of her on top, she was so cute.I can still see it now like it was then.
I am going ok today, got a lot of paper work done, will get it mail Tuesday morning on the way to see my sister Helen...having coffee with her once a week at her home now... it is so good to visit and talk about the past, she is the oldest I am number 5 of 6th and the second girls in the family...she always wanted a baby sister and that me...I have a younger sister Margaret.I know I am special to Helen. And I have strong feeling for her too...my mother was the best mother of all I sure miss her, both of my parent died in 1999 3 months apart.
You sure did take good pictures Lois.
I took some pictures of the fellowship room at church where Bob and the other are working on...going to put in a new floor.
God bless you Lois, you are like a sister too.

    Hi, Honey,
The Battle of Spider Flats!! Quit a saga!!! LOL
Poor harmless, timid creature, being blatted by the wicked Aunty Lois!! LOL. ;o)
I don't like them, either!! The only large, white, hairy ones I know of were in Egypt, when I was out there doing National Service, more years ago than I care to think about.
Pal of mine was relieving himself one morning when one crept into the bathroom under the door. He had to jump up on to the seat and yell for his wife to come and BLATT the monster!! (No, the spider!!!)
Lovely pics of the Boys - they sure are handsome cats, and in such good condition - they do you credit.
    Take care, Honey. L.O.L. & G.B.H. from
    Raife

    Hi Gray...
So nice to hear from you..The boys are pretty .. every one comments how friendly and nice they are ... if they only knew... Yes, its a shame, but my own fault I should have been more aware and not depend on someone else to do my job.. I will get a better place..here, there, or anywhere will do...

Hope you have a good day :-)
    Always, Lois ****
