We were watching the birds again today and I want you to look at that bird feeder. Do you see how much seed is gone already;? Look at the ground, its covered.. You can see a couple birds on the feeder, and that red spot is that beautiful cardinal that's coming all the time now.. You can see the top of the boys head, He watches this all day long. I find that I keep going to look to see what new animals are out there too. The brown squirrel was there and he was being a real buggar today. See him just sitting there looking at me watching him.. Then he ran up the fence there and sat for a while watching us. He didn't care that we were he must know that there is glass between us.. The birds they fly off when the squirrels come by.. Today 3 of them visited.. 2 brown well they really look red, and then a shiney black one.. This brown or red was bound and determinded to get the birdseed.. So THERE! you see the culprit getting into the bird feeder. I had to wait awhile to get this one and had to be fast cuz he was a hit and run bandit.. When he did this the birds kept flying all over like to scold him for getting their stuff.. You see the bowl with the yellow corn in it.. he just wants everyones.. That's the black squirrel with the red tail.. pretty hey? hes a lot smaller or maybe she, than the brown, not near as big.. I had thought that this perhaps was just a young one, but it could be a female.. I have NO idea about squirrel genders and I cant tell by looking.. I know he, she or what ever it is..sure is a pretty animal.. I enjoy watching all these critters run around my yard.. Well we all do.. More Dutch and I than LB hes too laid back and unless the bird or squirrel was right on him I don't think he would give a flip.. We enjoy it though... There is my flower box with my new double impatients in it.. I think they are pink and white. Its a beautiful day today as you can see, warm and nice.. Lots of bikers are out and I have not seen so many people out walking.. The people here sure walk a lot which is good.. Ive seen some walking their dogs. some walking their kids, the kids are in strollers :-) I know I need to call Robert to come and cut my grass again, look at how long it is in these photos.. I used my digital camera and I get so mad at it.. The door thingie where the card and batteries go wont close anymore.. I guess cuz I kept taking so many \photos or something.. So now, I have to hold the door down real good then get tape and tape it down and make sure its stuck good or the camera wont work.. I don't know how to fix it or if it can be fixed.. I love this digital camera and waited for so long to get it.. I hate that its got a broken door.. it still works so I guess that's the main thing..
I got up early this morning and I KNOW its gonna rain tomorrow.. My right stump is throbbing like crazy and has been asleep all day.. It sleeps more than I do.. This mattress has got to go and I have decided that I am gonna use my tax money to get a new one.. I can feel the springs thru the plastic cover and when I move at all it being plastic the bedding moves which causes wrinkles which make me very uncomfy.. I think using that money to get a new one would be a wise move. I know Deborah at my Insurance said she would see about getting one for me..but if its like what I had to go through to get my chair.. I cant wait a year to get a new mattress so I think I would be smart to just get one.. I cant go thru more of those horrible back aches that make me call 911..and a new mattress I think would solve the problem real fast..
Ive not eaten today as I have NO idea what I want to eat.. I may make some chicken cacciatore.. I think that's how you spell it.. I love that stuff and its so fast and easy to make.. I havent had rice in a while and I really like it.. I don't like rice pudding but regular rice I do.. I had a rice cooker at one time that I just wore it out using it so much.. Time for food and then Im gonna go sit in the door way and watch the world go by..So, Time to write my GORGEOUS WEEBLE "nitey nite" :-_
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and thankS!!! :-) Always, Lois ****
God Bless you, is my prayer today, I'm so honored to call you "friend"; I pray the Lord will keep you safe, Until I write again..... |

I lived in a house with vinyl siding. The squirrels ate though the siding - they seem to love to eat electrical insulation. I used to go into the attic and rewrap the hot wires. I never got a shock. we used to catch the squirrels with have-a-hert cage with peanut butter bait. You have to drive the squirrels over 50km (30 miles or they will find their way back

Lois I do love all the pictures you put in.
Nice to be able to watch all the birds feeding, our birds love the dog food ...My dogs keep them hopping, and they get one from time to time...the squirrels drive our dogs crazy , I get upset over both...the noise the dogs make drive me crazy.
The winds sure did blow very hard this evening, was hard to keep standing...I was trying to get into my car after leaving wal mart.
I got all my girls flower today, I always give Becky and Pam flower too...And was able to give my sister some flower.I gave my ex daughter in law flower too, she gave me my 3 grandsons and we are friends too.
I wish I would have gave Patsy some flower...her youngest daughter is here with her family. And they are taking her out too eat Sunday. She lost her husband in Dec...
God bless you Lois.

Hi, Honey,
We have squirrel trouble, too. There was one in my pheasant trap this morning, pinching the seed to trap the cock pheasant that scratches up our plants.
That's a crafty little beggar you've got, stretching across to reach the seed feeder like that! We have eight or ten jackdaws who have learned to grab on to the pole of the seed feeder and get the nuts and seed.
The green finches are terrible wasters of seed, they select the seeds they want and chuck the rest out. Gives the wood pigeons and the dunnocks something to pick up, though.
That planter looks good on your rail, outside. The impatiens will look good just there.
It is a beautiful, spring day here and I have just taken some of Ines's cakes up to the cake stall at an event called "The Golden Horseshoe". Riders cover a course of 30 or 60 miles across Exmoor. The ladies from the village provide cooked breakfasts for the competitors and good, home-cooked food is available all day. The event lasts for three days.
Take care, Honey,
Luv Ya,
Raife
