~Father's Day~
Today is Father's Day, I miss my Dad to this very day -
he was called home in 1989 at 80 years old.. I have to
say of all the millions, I bet, people, I have met and
gotten to know..I have never met a man like him..He
was a good man..honest, strong, dependable and
just a very sweet soul..I never realized till these past
years when I would write my stories just what kind of
influence he really had on my life.. My Dad did good.
He taught me well..he prepared his daughter for any
thing that would come my way..Its all HIS fault for
how I am..:-) I mean that in a loving way.. He taught
me everything..by watching him and my mother and
how their love lasted 56 years..and they were as much
in love when they parted ways as they were when
they married in 1929... That taught me Love.. I learned
a lot and I honestly don't think I could have survived
this life if not for having him raise me..I think the Good
Lord knew what he was doing when he sent my
parents to get me all those years ago... :-) Happy
Father's Day Daddy... :-)
I still havent loaded my webcam or scanner printer on
to this new computer..I am not sure about my cam if I
should or not.. If its bad I don't want to affect this puter.
It didn't work all that great before so I'm kinda leary
about it.. I was going to hook up my 3 in 1 so I could
get the photos off my camera I took of my roses..But
I don't have my PSP installed either so I can reduce
I don't have my PSP installed either so I can reduce
the size of them and with my camera they are just too
big to put here..They ask the photos not be over 50kbs.
so I try to keep them small..So no photos till all this
stuff is connected...it will be this week...for sure..
My niece Mary Jane did some checking for me into my
birthmother, well her grandmother. She was born in 1922..
I was 10 months old when she gave me and all of us
away..she was 23 years old...and she had 6 kids.!. can
you imagine? Then to have her husband and father to
all of us committ suicide.. how sad..what could that poor
woman do? I often thought about why didn't my mothers
brothers or sisters all 13 of them take us kids so we
werent scattered.. Well my logic, since I know now, how old
she was then she may have been the oldest and the
others couldn't take us...I'm hoping that's the reason as
that used to bother me..All 6 of us kids scattered to
the wind...all but 2 of us were adopted..It was really a
miracle we even found each other but we did....But I
have more sympathy for her now..I wish I had gotten to
meet her like all the others did..They all knew her
except Frank and I ...she died young.. in a car accident
on the I-94...she was killed in 1974..she was 52.. I'm
glad that I could meet my sons again.. I wish I had met
my birth mother..my questions can never be answered,
at least if my sons have questions they will have the
chance to ask them and get the answers...The TRUE
ones lets say...
I was sitting here at 9 or so and suddenly it got so dark
out the street lights came on.. The wind picked up and
things were flying through the air..this rose of Sharon
bush was almost flat out..It was really scarey... The boys
both ran and hid...the lightning was those long streaks
that fill up the sky.. As fast as it came up it stopped just
as fast and believe me all 3 of us were glad.. I hate
storms and these tornados have been skirting all around
us thank GOD... Storms really scare me.. I don't like
them at all, but rain now.. I don't mind..freshens things up
so nice..makes it smell so good and clean out side... You
can tell my dad was a weather man...I loved reading his
books on weather..scared me then too :-)
I made some good chicken today..breast filets with onion
and tomatoes..then I made some white rice..its one of my
favs to eat.. Its really my own recipe.. I have lots of them,
but just do what I happen to think will taste good at the time.
So food, and then tv...maybe a few games of spider..This
Vista has it on it but not like on XP its better there..oh well
I can still play it that's the main thing.. and I still can ROLL
and that's what I'm doing.. first my GORGEOUS WEEBLE
"Nitey Nite" ..
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and thanks :-)
Always, Lois ****
ps..no photo yet but soon!!! promise :-)
