~Family Tree~
The other day I typed my maiden name, my dads family
name into my browser.. My family has a website looking
for family members. I wrote to one of the guys that put the
web page together and I sent the information I have.. My
family tree goes back to the 1600 when some men from
Kent County, England came over and settled the Plymouth
Colony in Scituate, MA.. My ancestor Sire Walter was one of
those 10 men.. If you squint you can read the tree...
My family tree was put together with help by my grandfather, my
dads dad.. Irwell..my dad is the 9th generation..I am 10th.. and I
am on this family tree..I wish I could continue it as I have told my
son about it and I hope it can be carried on.. I plan to phone my
cousin Ronnie as he is one of the last of the family besides his
brother Patrick, and his two sons.. I would like for this family tree
to survive.. I was told my line would be added to the page. Its
most interesting as the site even has photos of the old grave
stones..
When I read my copy of my family tree I was very impressed with
the detail they went to ... it states what every male member did..
One of my ancestors. Menatable..was a witness at a witchcraft
One of my ancestors. Menatable..was a witness at a witchcraft
trial of Sara Ingram in 1676. Most of the men, which I found most
interesting, were surveyors.. My Grandfather was and I was so
surprised to see that go down thru the generations.. It took my
grandfather over 20 years to put this family tree together..and I
am on it.. I wish I could get in touch with my cousins to add all
of the children to it.. I made copies with my scanner but it just
doesn't do it justice.. I don't know who has the original.. I wish I
did..But according to the tree my dads family came over from
Kent County England and my mother was born in Cornwall..I
have deep roots in the UK it seems..:-)
We had some serious storms last nite and tornado watches all
over here and in Indiana.. The lightning lit up the whole house..
and what gets me the guy says,"if you have a basement, I
strongly suggest you go there immediately" I just sit and listen
to it.. I cant get down mine..It could be done but that would be
only if they moved the stairs..now they go down 4 steps,, and
turn and go down about 7 more into the basement.. I would just
ride it out up here rather than kill myself falling down the steps
to the basement.. it would amount to where did I wanna get
killed...and how..tornado or self inflicted.. I'll face the tornado.
If I went into the hallway where I spilt the mac and cheese I
think that would be about the safest place in here.. Only one
problem is the boys..they wouldn't stay right by me..When I
was in the apt.. I always hid us in the bathroom and I kept
their cat carrier in there and I put them in it until the storm
passed.. I have to think of them too.. I should keep their carrier
up here but I don't have enough room in my bathroom since I
have to have that clothes rack in there for my clothes to hang
on, which incidentally is falling apart and I have to replace it.
with only 1 tiny closet and all my clothes, its just not big enuff..
Well I have some left over spaghetti in the fridge and I have
to say it is REALLY good.. Your invited to come for dinner if
you like..:-) Time for food and to get out of this chair for today,
first I gotta write my GORGEOUS WEEBLE "nitey nite" :-)
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear ? Love ya and THANKS!! :-)
Always, Lois ****
God Bless you, is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again.....

That wonderful you have your family tree now you can pass it on to your sons.
I have mine on my mother and dad side...and a blessing to pass it on to my children.
The person that did most of it is no longer with us...and far as I know no one has took her place. And none of her children come to the reunion. We all have copy of the family tree in a book form.
But it need to be up dated again.
They say bad storms tonight, hoping to get plenty of rest.
Church cleaning day Friday morning, we have a few other lady that help out now...Bob will help me too.So nice to have the extra help...my grandson will play in the tree while we are there...then I am taking him & Bob out for Lunch...
The buddy ball games was great, but it was so windy...well we didn't get to warm out there...the wind saw to that.
God bless you Lois
