~Trout Hatchery~

You can kinda tell I like where I grew up, in the UP of Michigan, God's
Country as we call it.. It is too.. Beautiful place. On the way out of town
on US 2 highway, going west, to 45 north to Watersmeet. You can tell
the Indian heritage up there by the names of the towns.. By Watersmeet
is the old highway US2, go east and you will come to the old fish hatchery
for trout.. We went there, David, Diane, Tim and I, it was great.

(David,Lois,Tim)I looked at that photo a dozen times and not until today did I realize
that's me up there in the middle. Diane took the photo, usually I am the
photographer! The hatchery was bought by new people a few years ago,
the hatchery provides fish for eating or for to stock lakes, ponds, or
whatever. Good eating? That goes without saying.. Until you have actually
eaten fresh trout you have NO idea, good stuff.. :-)

(Tim, hatchery lady)There were tons of fish in all sizes, the lunker pond was amazing the size
of the fish in there, the water just swirled around like it was alive when
you dropped food in and saw how huge the fish were..
Diane,Tim,hatery lady)
They give you this thin pole with just a hook on the end and they put
what looks like a piece of dog food on it and when you drop that in the
pond, well they go nuts, just drop the line in and pull it up and out just
that fast.

(Diane, hatchery lady, fish)Then you got to pay for them and take home what you wanted, all cleaned
and prepared too... Which made it nice, just after I took this photo and
the lady had taken Dianes fish to put up for her, Diane walked back
and prepared too... Which made it nice, just after I took this photo and
the lady had taken Dianes fish to put up for her, Diane walked back
to the edge there to catch another one, when she got up to it, her foot
slipped and Diane went swimming with all those fish.. As many fish as
there were I'm surprised that there was room for Diane.. I had just
turned and gone to go look at another part of the place and I missed
getting a photo of her falling in.. I wish I had.. :-) Diane was a klutz,
she kept us entertained.. :-)

(Trout Hatchery Now)I went to the net to see what they had about the
hatchery and the area, put Watersmeet Trout Hatchery
into your browser, then you can read about it and all
the lakes, and attractions there, like the Paulding Light,
and Bond and Tequaminine Falls, and its on the way up to
the Porkies.. I hope they don't mind I borrowed their
photo... Big difference in then and now, which I am pleased
 to see...
I had heard about this new PC to land phone called icall.. You
can call from anywhere in the WORLD to the USA and Canada
for free.. A dear friend phoned today to check out how the
connection is from Sweden, and it was wonderful.. The only
thing we noticed was the call was limited to 5 minutes, which
for free? Just recall after each 5.. easy.. I cant call anywhere
in the world for free but I can to the USA and Canada... And
I got this icall..on my land phone, from their computer and I
didn't have it installed on my computer YET. Its like skype.
They had it for free then stopped it.. You can voice chat, but
any other calls you have to pay for on skype now.. So anyway
 icall works great!... :-)
Well this is my tale for today, I have done nothing but scan
those photos, wrote this, emptied my inbox and the rest of
the time I have just listened to music at some of my favorite
sites..although I found a new one last nite and theyre all MP3
and just great.. I only got through 1 category last nite so I
will have to finish today, Donnie phoned and he will be by this
evening after work. So I'm gonna play some solitare and wait
then its TV land and sleep.. I am still getting up at 5 every
day.. I wish the kids would reset their alarms.. Dutch starts
at 4 to try to wake me.. He knows all he has to do if hes
really desperate for breakfast is lick my eyes or sit on my
face and well ,,, who wouldn't wake up? smelly kittie butt
in your face :-) Time to finish and say my GORGEOUS
WEEBLE "nitey nite" :-)
 WEEBLE "nitey nite" :-)
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and Thanks :-)
 Always, Lois ****
God Bless You, is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend"
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
 until I write again .....

Hi, Honey,
Guess you will be in the land of Nod, then, when this gets through. Its a half eight here, I guess that means its half five by you.
That trout fishery reminds me of one we visited some years back, up in the Cotswolds - you know, all pretty stone built villages. And yes, you sure are right, fresh trout is DELICIOUS!! So is smoked trout pate.
Thank you for the interesting post!
Take care, Honey,

Names of towns:
Once in the 1880s there was a town in western Missouri which incorporated and sent its new Indian name to washington, DC to the post office to be registered. The post office sent back a letter that said your indian names is Peculiar and that's how Peculiar Missouri got its name. I think Noc Noc le Zou in Belgium is also peculiar

My computer is to old for icall, I did try.
Going to get ready for Wednesday, picking up my new teeth.
