~Dr Today~ :-)

I was up at 5 am, thanks to the furry alarm clocks I have.

I got up and had coffee then called Penny at 7 she got here

about 7:45 and Millie got here about 8:10 or so.. The drive

up to Kalamazoo was nice and didn't take as long as I thought

it would.. Of course the road was tore up ..its summer...:-)

Traffic wasn't bad though and I was glad..
That's one of COA's older vans as you can see all the rust

down on the quarterpanel under the door.. Its a nice one in

side though and runs really good.. Millie is a good driver. I

got to the Dr EARLY.. amost 45 minutes early..we had NO

idea it was just a short way down the road.. We were back

in the van headed back to town at 9:17 the clock on the van

said.. so we did good.. I rolled in , up to the window she hands

me a clipboard with papers and said, "I see its been a long

time since you have been here, so we need an update", and

hands me the papers.. I was confused, I missed the last

appointment.. Well the next thing I hear is a lady calling my

name to go in the back waiting room... That was FAST!!!

Penny and I both at the same time said "WHAT??"

We answered the nurses questions..she went out.. so I

KNEW it would be at least 15 minutes..that's normal..

well fooey, Penny didn't even get a chance to sit down

yet and the door opened and this YOUNG, and CUTE

as can be.. Dr Semler... walks in.. I was impressed.. He

looked my arms over and said I have a very extreme

case of psoriasis... He even knew how sore it is just

by looking at it.. He gave me some pills that I take 3

of two days in a row, then wait till the next week and

take 3 more for 2 days .. He said I have to keep a close

watch for any side effects as this medication is given

to cancer patients as well and it can damage the liver..So

anything out of the norm I have to watch plus he wants

routine blood work.. Next time though he said I can see

him in town here up at the clinic.. I'm glad..although we

had a good time..
I'm going to survive this, just going to take time and

what I am REALLY glad to know, which I didn't think

it was, but its NOT contagious.. so now when Kelli

brings my new greatgrand I can touch him and hold him.

I cant wait for that either .. I couldn't last time as I

was just scared to give him anything.. but I'm safe, My

arms look like crap but.. I'm gonna make it... On the

way back Millie let us stop at GOODWILL... talk about

a TREAT!! I was SO glad to go there again.. Last time

I was there was in 2001... OH, know why the nurse said

that it had been a long time since I was there? Because

I WAS there!

Back in Oct of 2001, just before I lost my left leg.. I had

a rash, and I was sent there, I honestly DONT remember

it.. I have NO memory of it.. I asked the nurse was she sure,

she read off all my info and I WAS there ! I wonder where

else I went and don't know it? :-)

Anyway, I had the best time at GoodWill... I saw so many

things I wanted, in fact so did Penny.. Penny said she will go

back on Saturday when they have everything half price...
She saw a really nice couch there for 100 and was a hide a

bed kind.. and VERY nice, If I didn't have a nice one I would

have liked that one myself.. Only bad thing about them is

theyre SO HEAVY to move.. almost takes an act of congress

to do it.. But I did splurge, I found 2 of the prettiest tops,

and theyre SILK.. one is black and one is white.. So pretty .

I had been wanting a white top and Penny has been looking,

found plenty of knit but no silk...and you know me and silk..

Which the outfit I have on today is silk..as we were going

down the ramp to go to the van there is a little drop at

the end.. I had to tell Penny to STOP!, she was going a bit

to fast and if she had hit that little drop off and I wasn't

prepared I would shoot right out of that chair! I tried to

explain to her that my cushion is nylon, which is silky and

my skirt is silk..when they hit..well they don't stop each

other and just slide MORE ! :-) But we made it...

I also found out today that Millie goes on the coa trips.

In fact next week end shes going up north for the day

to a casino.. 44 dollars to go..for the ride .. not bad.. and

they pick you up at the door I think.. I'm going to call

and see what they have, its thru a travelling club or some

thing that plans these trips.. So I may go.. be nice to get

away and ride .. Knowing Millie then I wouldn't feel so bad

all by my self.. Shes never been over to the one over by

Michigan City.. I am going to plan to go one of these

times...

Well I'm pooped.. big day and I'm tired.. I got my 2nd

netflix, and its really neat.. I did try to watch a movie on

line but you can only with Internet Explorer , not with

Firefox which is what I use... Seems odd that both don't

work... as long as one does I'm good.. Oh, I still do

have a problem.. my speakers went out on my computer.

They were old since day 1 and 2nd hand.. I'm using my

headset but I cant leave it on for very long it makes my

ears itch and I feel like I have ear muffs on all the time

even when theyre OFF!... Always something... Ok, I'm

done for this day so, Now - my
