~The Packing Starts~
Ive been packing today and I did get a lot of things
boxed up here in the living room. I really don't have
a lot of stuff to pack as most of it is down the base
ment. I have to make sure the garage is empty there
as I don't want to put the musty smelling things in
the house.. Perhaps they will air out after theyre in
the garage and I think a lot of it that I don't use,
which I havent in two years anyway, I will just get rid
of.. that is really about the only good thing about moving
is that you have to go through everything and then you
can get rid of what you don't need..
Penny only comes 3 days a week for 3 hours so we have
Penny only comes 3 days a week for 3 hours so we have
to make the most of her time.. Kelli offered to come up
and help pack and I'm sure Dawn would if I asked.. I
think Penny and I can do it but with only 6 packing days
it will cut it short.. that's why I will in between. But I cant
afford to over do either I sure don't want to be unwell
when I move in.. I really am anxious to move in and knowing
all is well I'm very relieved...
Tomorrow is again a day of phone calls to set up the rest
of the details for the move, mainly the electric and gas.
I know it has an electric stove but I'm not sure if there
is gas there... There are a lot of people to call yet and I
made sure I wrote every one I can think of to notify so
nothing is interrupted or canceled or worse.. I'm really glad
that I can still deal with this COA as I know all of them.
But I have to make sure that all my address changes are
made. Not counting the post office there to see about
putting my mailbox on the front door. The mail box is in
front of the house by the road, I could do it in the summer
but unless its totally clean I would have to depend on
Penny to get the mail, which I don't get that much that
I really have to check it every day. So I may just leave it
like it is ...
I phoned my sis and I relayed to her all the details and
we talked of course, material. She has a few bolts of
lace she bought when she was making baby doll cradles.
So I think I will just make my own curtains. There is
an excellent area in the kitchen by the back door for
my little drop leaf table that I used at the apartment
for my sewing machine and it will fit perfectly there
and it will be nice and bright, and with the dining room
table right there I will have a great place to cut out.
I think it will work out just great.. Then perhaps I can
put my bedroom back to a bedroom and later on see
about a better bed...
We had snow flurries and some sleet.. didn't get too very
warm today, I am glad I decided to rent a truck for this
move. Then I wont have to pack so that everything is
protected from rain or snow or worse like falling off the
trailer like last time. RaeLynn and I were following Dawn
that was following Donnie that was pulling the flatbed trailer
behind his truck.. All of a sudden we saw Dawn swerve over
to the right and one of my bed pillows that Donnie had
stuffed between boxes or something came flying past the
car! I lost 3 pillows and my microwave cart and we have
yet to find my mirror! This will be a much safer move...
Speaking of moving I havent eaten today as I just had too
much to do but I plan to make something, but what, I have
no idea, something not too tedious as my arms are about
worn out.. I did get a lot done today in here, so Penny will
be surprised tomorrow when she gets here. Time to post,
eat and relax first my GORGEOUS WEEBLE "nitey nite".
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? Love ya and THANKS!!!
Always, Lois ****
"God Bless You" is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you "friend".
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...

Hi, Honey,
Sounds like you are VERY organised!! In that kind of situation, Ines is a great one for making lists, too. You can bet our move, five years ago, now, was pretty well organised.
Hope you manage to get everything organised on the phone to-morrow.
Thank you for the pic of my favourite Weeble!
Take care, Honey,
Luv Ya,
Raife

Wow Lois you got thing under control.
That big day will be here before you know it...
I got all my Living room painted...the color is Country White, at first I didn't think I would like it when I first started to paint...now I love it that color...It use to be light yellow...but now I don't want my Dinning room that color...I might but a little green in that country white gal can and see how that looks...the outside of my house is sage green so I have some paint left from that...
Are you going to be able to keep Penny after the move? I know it hard to change staff.
I wish you could get more hours during the week...
I think you are going to love your new place, your will be able to go places on your own...I'm so happy for you...do you still have a fishing pole? You might need it now...
Yes I did look up your new town, sound real nice place to live Lois.
God keep on blessing Lois.
