~Daily Drama~

Every day is something going on.. Today- we are without

water!.. I went to make coffee and nope, nothing came out.

I didn't know what to think.. We got no notice about a water

shut off.. Next thing I hear the door bell and its Steve from

next door, he says "I had to shut the water off, the pipe in

my basement broke and its flooded". I assured him that was

ok, I keep bottled water because our tap water smells and

tastes like bleach and makes AWFUL coffee, let alone my

lime kool aid..
My next remark was, "you have a basement? I don't ".

I didn't know they had one.. Apparently according to Steve

its what we call a Michigan basement, dirt floor, not finished,

like a dug out for preserving or even a tornado shelter. Years

ago the veggies were kept in them so they lasted longer. Lots

of places have them. I don't under my part but this side of

this duplex, was a green house, you can see the strips of

concrete out back where the sides of it went. Be nice to have

a green house I think.. Raife built one for his wife that is just

great and that lady can grow some stuff in hers ! Shes got

green hands, not just a thumb :-)

Steve came back a few minutes later and said he had called

Joe and someone would be here in 3 hours or so to fix it..

He said his basement has over a foot of water in it..Once

the water is gone, mud will be left, being a basement and I

Seriously doubt there is a window, usually not in those kind,

so drying that basement out will take awhile. What a mess I

bet he has.. I hope he had nothing stored down there, he

didn't say he did. I hope it doesn't start to smell.. THAT

would not be good, I just got rid of a moldy smellin place!

Time for lunch, Ive not heard from anyone so I am NOT

contacting anyone. I think its best in a way, although this

not knowing drives me looney, I hate this.. Mary reports

Bob is slowly on the mend, so please keep them in your

prayers.. Me, its post time and lunch time then some

sewing for a while. This GORGEOUS WEEBLE WILL
BE BACK :-) I KNOW you're glad :-)
