~Happy 4th of July~

Happy 4th of July! What a busy day! I loved it..I

had people in and saw dozens going up and down the

street, the boys loved everyone talking to them as

they sat in the doorway :-).. 3 kids that were in the

parade, they didn't provide pottys, my door was

the closest one open. The lady with them was so

sweet, she offered me tootsie rolls if the 2 girls,

they had to go, and the 1 boy could use my bathroom.
I explained to her that perhaps they had not

ever seen a toilet like mine with a seat 6 inches

thick.. I bet the girls had to stand on tip toe to

sit on it ! :-) They were very glad I let them go,

or they would have been dancing down the street!
:-) They were with the ARF people and I have a

friend Becky that is as well. She came by to see

me yesterday, was a great surprise, she had gone

to Coldwater with her great niece Lilly and decided

to stop by on her way back home :-) I love company,

so do the boys :-) They had a good time with Lilly,

she LOVES cats...
I sat at my back door and saw the whole parade!

Couldn't ask for better than that! Lots of people

parked here since I'm so close to the school and

lots walked the two blocks down to see the whole

thing.. You knew when it started, the firetrucks

and police cars sirens went off and as quiet as this

town is, you KNEW it was parade time. This is such

a small town its nice to see such a turn out. I saw

Carl and Joyce walking back carrying lawn chairs,

they must have walked down to the main road its

only 2 blocks, not far. I saw the ramp guy and his

girl friend come back too, she must have pushed

him down to the end of their street cuz I know

it went right past there, I was surprised that Joyce

and Carl didn't do that too.. Maybe they just wanted

to see the other people watching..
Tonite I will have front row seating to the fireworks.
I told that lady with the kids about the fireworks tonite.

She was from Sturgis and just up here to walk in the

parade for ARF, so she didn't know, said she might come

back up this evening and watch..
I mentioned the Battle Creek Air Show, which she said

she has gone to quite a few times.. The Thunderbirds do

a show starting at 1 till 5 I think it said. She said that

these jets fly over Colon here as there is some special

air force guy lives here and they do a salute to him.. She

said if I hear the jets, which I am sure I will, to watch

for them. Would THAT be great to see.. I hope I can

get a photo, but by the time this thing comes on its at

least a few seconds... and I KNOW I wouldn't have time

to shut the flash off. It comes on automatically too. I

wish it didn't but I don't know how to shut it off :-)
Anyhoway, its been a most interesting and great day so

far and we are enjoying it. I sure need this.. :-) I bet the

boys are glad Mom has settled down and not so crabby

too.. :-) Time for some lunch for this GORGEOUS WEEBLE,

what, I have NO idea, something light, I think my chair

is shrinking :-) But I will be back ! I KNOW you are

SO GLAD! :-)
