~Guests For Coffee~
I drink my coffee every morning sitting at the back door,
this morning we woke up to a thunderstorm. The whole 9
yards, lightening, rain. It stopped raining but its gonna be
a muggy day. Yesterday was awful. Soon as Penny left we
closed down to keep the iccky air outside. Anyhoway, I
had 2 cute guests join me for coffee :-) They stayed
around for a long time.. :-) I offered coffee but they
just looked at me :-) I see so much stuff outside this door:-)
Arent these pretty? I still have NO idea what they are.. :-)
I think they were eating the sunflower seeds. I don't know

I think they were eating the sunflower seeds. I don't know
what rabbits eat, gardens I know ! :-) After they finished
here they each made a mad dash over across the street
to the twin ladys house. Her garden looks so nice. I'm not
sure if shes growing dill over there or if she has a great
patch of asparagus. They look the same kinda. If you let
the asparagus grow they get tall and bushy, that's how you
can spot wild asparagus.. My mom knew where there was
a lot of it growing, and she made trips to get it all the
time, even though she had a wonderful patch in her old
flower bed. :-)
The Twin Lady has flowers like my weird ones..on the left...

I watched the people across the field from the front
door, the one with the 2 black labs. Jesse is the name of
the younger lab, they yell at him all the time when hes out
so that's how I know :-) The guy, dad, hubby, dug a garden
and Ive been watching it grow, it sure looks nice. I got a
call yesterday from Carla with COA, they are having that
same program as last year, giving us fresh produce. I HOPE
there are some GREEN TOMATOES. I think I wait ALL
year for them :-) The movie is good too. but.. home made,
fried green tomatoes.. DELICIOUS.. a taste like no other.
I slice them kinda thick, then I beat eggs, dip the slices
I slice them kinda thick, then I beat eggs, dip the slices
in that, then into Italian bread crumbs, then fry them,
slowly till theyre nice and brown.. Good? MMMM.. VERY
good.. I like zucchini like that too. I love summer with
all the gardens and fresh veggies. I keep hoping the
stuff Michalena sends to Donnie will get all the way here,
for some reason it never does :-) There are a lot of
farmers that sell along side the road, especially on 12
by Union, a wide spot in the road with 2 bars and a
caution light :-) Lots of small towns up here :-)
Lunch time and I'm kinda hungry I'm surprised that
with the thunderstorms and this high humidity that
my stumps arent bothering me much today, I noticed
that while I was laying in bed this morning waking up.
And while Dutch marched back and forth on my chest.
:-). They didn't ache and did NOT feel like they were
going thru the bed, they felt like short little legs :-)
I am NOT complaining. :-)
This will be a nice weekend. I have declared it so.!.
This GORGEOUS WEEBLE says so, so be it !
AND......"I'll be back!" :-)
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? luv ya and thanks !
Always, Lois ****
"God Bless You" is my prayer today.
I'm honored to call you Friend.

The church picnic went well.regarding green tomatoes. I used to grow tomatillos. They are mexican and green but they taste completely different from regulsar tomatoes. Tomatillos are great for seasoning fish. They are used to make salsa verde.
