~Anxiously Waiting~ :-)
I'm not used to Pennys camera and I have missed a few photos of the goldfinch. It looks so pretty out there sitting on that sunflower. Ive been debating to have Penny get a box or something and cut one of the blooms off, lay it on that to make it easier not only for the goldfinch to get the seeds, but for ME to get a photo! :-) There IS a method to my madness :-) I cant hardly wait to see what Joe is going to come up with for a deck. I HOPE he will make a nice size one.. Wouldn't it be nice to have one big enough for a bbq grill? THEN when I have company THEY can COOK out on that ! :-) I think be great :-) Penny could even, she has lunch here when its her day. :-) I love brats on the grill. Well really I don't care what it is, it tastes better on a grill AND eaten outside. My parents had a picnic table in the back yard, one they had out at the cottage at Sunset Lake.. Many nice warm summer evenings Mom would set the table out there, well no, usually I did but she would have me set up out there, and food does taste better out there, maybe its because it is even more restful than sitting at a kitchen or dining room table... There was a nice big back porch as you went in the back door, windows all around, that all opened.. It was a great place, in the summer, it wasn't heated in the winter. Many times supper was out there, and with the view, it was relaxing. The view from the dining room was of the neighbor next door, same from the kitchen.. It was that back view that was the best, you could see the ski hill way off in the distance, Ski Brule.. a great winter get away, that my dad drove his jeep down the main hill just for fun.. He said as he went down it his head was against the windshield that's how steep it was.. He was involved with lots of the ski stuff up there. First one, with my uncle to build a tow rope and ski hill even anywhere IN that town..and charged $1.00 a button to ride the tow up and then get to ski down.. He and my mom's brother, my Uncle Ernie, built that hill and paid for the electric to run it, well that's what the dollar buttons were for.. It was VERY popular, THEN later came the big Kahuna, Ski Brule.. :-) Their hill was behind the Lutheran church at the bottom of what we called Stambaugh Hill.. We were on top of it.. Iron River was at the bottom.. Stambaugh is no longer, it was annexed I guess and joined wth Iron River, just like the other 2 , well 3 I think, towns that too are no longer there. Things change... Well time to change my location and go back out to the kitchen. If Chris doesn't bring lunch today I will inquire as to how she is.. Vinnie I think is this drivers name, hes very nice, but he doesn't check my mail like she does.. :-) I hate to ask him. Ive known Chris a lot longer. :-) He probly would if I asked but I can wait till Penny comes tomorrow. I hope she found her kitties.. shes going to use her cell phone to take photos, since I have her digital here :-) Mine cannot be fixed ...sadly..the door cant take that much opening and closing.. its not used to 2 or 3 times a day to be opened.. Most arent like this GORGEOUS WEEBLE.. :-) We are having some really bad storms, last night and today, so Im getting this posted while I can still be on line , or lose power :-) BUT! Warning ~ ! ~ I Shall be back ! :-) Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? luv ya and thanks! Always, Lois **** "God Bless You", is my prayer today, I'm honored to call you Friend. I pray the Lord will keep you safe, Until I write again.... | ||
