~Short Reacher ~ :-)

Penny came today and there really wasn't a lot for
her to do but trash and fix the boys box. I can do
it but my arms are so short, I cant reach much less
pick up a coin from the floor..And if I reach over
the arm of the chair, which shortens my reach too,
I KNOW I aint hittin the floor.. I leaned over this
morning to put the boys food dish down and leaned
too far so I wouldn't slam it to the floor. I miss
judged and good thing cuz my head, well, forehead
hit the wall :-) good thing it was there. Usually when
I lean over to reach something I automatically reach
around with my left hand to hold on to the back of
my chair.. I learned the hard way on that, even tho
sometimes I have had memory lapses and just lean
over and suffer the consequences.. :-)

I am so patiently waiting to hear from Joe about the
deck.. I told Penny that I have no doubt that it will be
great to have it, but knowing Donnie he will see to it
that its really nice... with railings n stuff.. NEXT year,
if I can get it done the way I see in my head.. well it
will be one of the nicest and prettiest birdy sites in
the county.. I bet birds would be all over out there!
Which is my purpose.. :-)

The past few days Chris hasnt brought lunch so I
hope all is ok for her. She said baby is due in October.
OHHH ! NEWS FLASH~!~ Penny has 6 BABY KITTIES!
lucky dog.. She said they were born last nite.. and 6 !
That's a lot for a first time mom.. Penny said this cat
was miserably mean before.. now with 6 babies she is
gonna be a REAL meanie.. The mom has taken them and
hidden them, she had 3 white and 3 black and white..
From a SIAMESE SEALPOINT mom.. The white are
the Siamese beige. but no markings anywhere on them.
She didn't want to handle them to see what they were.
Penny said they are so tiny but just precious.. The mom
has hidden them and now the hunt is on to find them...
But I havent decided if I will take one or not.. But when
they are old enough Penny is going to bring one up here
to REALLY TEASE ME .. :-) But I want to see how the
boys will act.. LB I have no worries about him.. But the
boy, Dutch.. I dunno hes kinda moody and MY CAT.. he
may get really jealous. ALthough I think animals are like
humans they treat babies no matter whos or what kind
with TLC... Ive seen wild lions adopt chimps and cats
adopt skunks..:-) So he may be ok.. I just wanna see this
baby :-) There isnt too much sweeter than a new baby
human or other wise :-)

Well this SWEET GORGEOUS WEEBLE needs some
lunch. I have some pumpernickel bread and ham.. I may
make a nice sandwich until my dinner is ready. I have
been so hungry for a nice beef roast.. which thankfully
they have on sale this week.. So.. Penny got a very nice
one.. kinda big, but I wanted that cuz the left over roast
beef will be for hash.. and I LOVE that stuff.. We even
have a plan of attack for what we eat too :-) Post time
and warning that I Shall Return!" :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? luv ya and thanks!
Always, Lois ****

"God Bless You" is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you Friend..
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again....

    Hi, Honey,
Siamese cats can be real meanies, but they can also be GREAT characters. I'll bet some, at least, of Pennie's will be wonderful. Siamese never breed true from a "mixed marriage", not as far a colouring goes, anyway. But the character will come out for sure. "We are Siamese if you please, we are Siamese if you don't please"! Do you remember Peggy Lee singing that?
Hope you soon get that deck and all the bits to go with it. It will be a joy! Ours is!!
    Take care, Honey,
    Luv Ya,
    Raife

    Hello Lois
SIAMESE are my favorite cats, we always had the very gentle ones.
Bob never did like cats or his mother either. I do not like a cat on the table for any reasons.
We had a stray cat that got to my pot roast on the kitchen cabinet. And I was still working on getting every thing ready for dinner... I got it a new home that day. That was the only cat that ever did that.
We got more rain today, sure needing it still.
Will be glad when you get your new deck...
    God bless you Lois.
    Mary

Roast Beef: I never cook roast beef - I get it from Meals on Wheels when I barter for meals. I will take a boneless London Broil and cut it up for stews. My Cast-Iron Dutch oven for making stew is 52 years old and it makes a wicked stew or soup. My Utility knife is 40 years old it is a Sabatier Carbon Steel. As Julian Child said - Bon Appetite.

    Hiya Raife,
My sis in Hawaii had one named Ku Ting. she was very snooty. She was very smart though AND Potty Trained! She never did learn to flush thou :-)

    Hi Mary,
A siamese is a beautiful cat. Some are just moody.

    Hi Momar,
Cast iron is THE very BEST to cook out of. I had frying pans as well as a dutch oven..all seasoned and broke in.. WONDERFUL pans~! I have NO idea WHAT happened to them.. I need new pots and pans desperately to be honest.. One sprung a leak yeasterday :-)

    Good to hear from you!
    Love, N'Hugs,
    Lois ****
