~Microwave Problems~

Yesterday afternoon I went out to the kitchen

to heat up my left over meat pie.. I got it out of

the fridge, opened the microwave door, set the

time and turned it on.. it lit up and ran for maybe

a minute, then it went dark.. It shut off.. I looked

at it and thought.. 'and here I thought everything

was gonna run smooth for a while'.. I use my micro

every day.! I was most upset.. :-(

My microwave is a combination kind.. I can cook,

well bake in it like a convectional oven which is the

kind in a stove.. Mine would cook in either mode.

Stove ovens are too dangerous for me. I put my

self at risk every time I use my stove oven.. I get

burnt... So this one I have I really like it.. and I use

it every day... Anyway...

I worried about this all night.. I bet I woke up a

dozen times trying to figure out HOW am I gonna

afford a new microwave... :-( I got up this morning

and was drinking my coffee and I did the same thing

as yesterday to the microwave.. I opened the door,

pushed all the buttons.. Unplugged the extension cord

and plugged it back in.. Still DEAD as a doornail.. I

was upset.. I then decided to check the cord where

it was plugged INTO the extension cord.. It didn't

look too snug from what I could see.. I pulled it up..

unplugged it.. plugged it back in.. ALL THE WAY...

and BLIP!!! That micro lit up like a Christmas tree..

I said.... "THANK YOU LORD!!" My micro is back...

Cost me a stressfull afternoon and night.. but made

my day today... :-)

Stanley had open heart surgery yesterday.. Shirley

phoned to let me know how he is doing.,.. He had a

valve repair and a double bypass.. Shirley said hes

doing good.. Poor guy is gonna be sore for a while..

Shirley said he lost a few friends down there in

Haiti and he was really upset about that.. With this

heart stuff it will probly be awhile till he goes back

there but I'm sure he would like to go and help... I

saw some stuff on TV yesterday that just made me

cringe.. Those poor people.. I saw a 15 day old baby,

mom was killed... so sad... Anyway, Stanley is doing

ok.. prayers answered .... :-) Hes a strong man and
knowing him.. he wont be down for long.. Hes too

hyper :-)

Penny is back from the store with the fixins for a

meat pie and some treats for Alex who will be here

tomorrow with his mom... about 10 Kelli said.. I cant

wait to see them.. I do wish I lived closer to Kelli,

I could help with Alex... wouldn't that be fun? I

would LOVE it... :-) I KNOW Donnie will like the

meat pie.. I have NO doubts..
