~It Got Us~ :-)

The snow sure hasnt missed us this time.. I
got up this morning to at least 2 inches of
snow already out there. I took that picture
of what I will call my snow gauge.. Just to
see how much we get.. I heard on the radio
this morning that we are under the gun till
TOMORROW night! Winds of up to 35 mph.
white out conditions.. Blizzard warnings.. The
emergency snow routes have been designated
and I bet by this afternoon no one will be
allowed out on the roads.. by tonight for sure
Squirrley is covered in snow, hes been out there stuffin his face
for an hour! :-) You can see how heavy snow is coming down...
Im using the sunflowers and those others as my depth gauge.. this
was at 9 this morning... Snow, snow, snow.. :-)
Female Cardinal in the center ... :-) Amazing the birds are out in force..
Glad I have food out there.. :-)
Travis was due to come by today and I called
him at 10 and told him not to try it.. There
hasnt been that first plow out there YET and
the roads are not cleared.. My driveway wont
be plowed probly not till tomorrow, so I am
having doubts if Penny will be able to make it
here tomorrow either, so I'm glad I stocked
up on everything.. This time we are gonna get
it.. We've been lucky so far but well we all
got to have our turn.. I'm glad I just don't
have to be out in it... I was surprised that
Travis was even at work.. He lives up in
Kalamazoo.. I told him to keep a watch.. If
he doesn't pay attention he may get stuck
there if they don't allow anyone on the
roads.. I know schools are either closed
already or on 2 hr delay to see if it might
open, which no.. this IS a SNOW DAY!! :-)

I loved snow days, no school! Only thing was
my dad had a jeep.. he could have taken me,
4 wheel drive it goes anywhere.. I'm glad
the kids have 4 wheel drive vehicles.. Donnie
and Kelli both do.. They have long drives to
work so they need that in bad weather. But
if this keeps on.. IF? :-) lets say, by this
afternoon.. they most definitely WILL have
to use the 4 wheel drive.. If Donnie gets
sent home early I know what hes gonna do..
Hes probly prayin now.. "Come ON SNOW!"
Hes anxious to ride his snow mobile :-)

Ive been asked about the Porcupine meatballs..
D.. it does NOT compare to Road Kill Racoon :-)
too funny :-D... Its the same stuffing I put into
my green peppers or cabbage leaves.. Ground
meat with rice.... cooked in tomato sauce.. The
rice sticks out and looks like porcupine quills..
They were so good! I use this new 4 cheese
tomato sauce by CLASSICO.. Good? If you
use Ragu or Progresso you will like this even
better, trust me.. Its really good.. I just poured
it over the porkies and baked them, covered
of course... about an hour, so the meat is cooked,
I use cooked rice...

I have no plans other than to make 3 aprons, 2 for
Pennys grand daughters and a matching one for
Penny.. The girls plan to go over and make stuff
for a valentines party, cookies.. so I told Penny
I would make them all aprons.. I sent one as a
test sizer and it fit perfectly.. :-) So I got it
back just to froo froo it up.. :-) Put some lace
and ruffles on it.. You know how little girls love
the frillies.. :-)

So.. that means its post time for this GORGEOUS
WEEBLE and I'm havin those left over porkies
out there in the fridge.. I KNOW they will be even
better today.. AND.. I had Penny get some of my
favorite soda yesterday..Creme Soda... I love that
stuff and its been so long since I even thought
about getting some, but I saw it on TV! Made me
think of it.. I had a can last evening.. it was SO
good.. only 1.. I learned.. I made NO potty call
last nite so I did good :-) Time to close.. but
remember.. I shall return!!! :-)

Always, Lois ****

God Bless You, is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend".
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...
