Amputee life before and after...

~Old Photo~

Going thru my photos I came across this one.. I
am on the left, holding one of my kitties. The boy
in the center was my "summer friend" Johnny.. he
was from California and his gramma lived down the
street.. We spent all the time he was visiting with
each other.. The other person .. that's Gayle.. she
was adopted as well, by my parents and was raised
with me.. we never did get along.. anyhoway.. :-)
Dutch made me smile today.. This cat is so funny.
I had made coffee and while I'm waiting for it
I give them their fresh food for the day and I
give them fresh water.. Remember I have to
keep the water dish in the sink..Dutch has a
"thing" about water.. He LOVES it ! Well for
some reason I didn't shut the water off totally
and it was running, very slow..but running.. It
didn't take the boy very long to spot it and to
check it out.. :-) So I let it run for a while to
give the boy something NEW to do :-) He had
FUN... and it made me laugh too.. :-)
I bet he played up there in that sink for over
2 hours.. He would slap at the water, then sit
and watch it as it hit the bowl in the sink..The
movement of the water was fascinating to him..
He walked around and around that drip to make
sure he saw it from all sides.
He stepped down into the sink to play and splash
in the bowl.. The one there is his food dish..The
bowl is Noritake China.. Very expensive.. If my
mother could see that she would cringe.. :-) She
liked cats, just not by her ! :-) My cats go where
ever they want to here, I am kittie proofed.. I
don't mind they get up on the counter, it is ALL
washable.. and Penny and I both know to rinse
every thing out before use and to wipe off the
counter if we are, well SHE are fixing food..
Only ONE place they are NOT allowed and that
is ontop this computer desk.. Dutch DOES not
mind that rule all the time.. specially if he gets
a smell of that potpourri that's up there.. :-)
Today is a quiet day.. and I'm glad.. I had such
fun going thru my photos to pick some out to
send to my son.. I enjoy doing that.. I wish I
had the 3 albums of photos that were my parents.
I had to give them to Gayle.. which is all part of
the stuff I don't talk about, but I wish I had
them or at least gone through and taken the ones
I wanted.. I did of me.. those I took out.. but
no other ones.. I just wish I had kept them all..
But sadly I had no choice but to give them to her.
Anyhoway...

It is gonna be up in the 50's today.. I wonder is
spring springin... Be nice..but.. well I kinda think
we might have more snow.. Might rain tomorrow..
I'm ready for spring.. I mentioned that to Momar
that I hope I can get that deck built outside.. I
sure would LOVE that..

I feel really good today and I am MOST grateful..
Penny made fried potatoes with cabbage and sausage..
I did NOT get indigestion!! :-) yesterday.. I have
some left.. It is SO good.. very tasty.. So.. I'm
gonna post this.. and continue on with my GORGEOUS
WEEBLE day.. Remember tho.. I shall return!! :-)

Always, Lois ****

God Bless You, is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend".
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...

    Honey!
You were sweet way back then too, but in a more juvenile way.
I like you better as you are now, tho....

    Hello Lois
I love old photos, great pictures of Dutch playing with the water that way great to see...
Yes I think Spring is here, but don't like all the storm it brings.
I got a little shopping done today, it hurt me to much to get in and out of the car a lot and do a lot of walking yet... Monday was two week after surgery.
Sure well be glad when I'm all healed up and back to normal...
    God bless you Lois
    Mary

    Hi, Honey,
Animals are SO rewarding! I was sitting at the table, ready for my not-breakfast this morning when Holly came bounding in and tried to push me out of my seat to get her "cup of tea". She couldn't have told me more clearly with words! "Come on dad, don't just sit there, get my cup of tea".
That is a lovely kitchen you have there, almost as good as mine!! And didn't that cat have fun?
Glad (& relieved!) that you are feeling better. Keep it up!!
    Luv Ya,
    Raife
