Usual day today.. Ive not done too much of anything lately.
Nothing worth writing about anyway :-) Or that I think anyone
would care to read about.. Ive mostly been just enjoying the
view from my doorway out to the back yard.. Not too much
gets past me.. I see Carl going back and forth to his garage,
the one by my drive way. When he walks across the yard to
go out there or to go back to his house, he walks with his
head down, looking at the ground..Same thing he does when
I see him leave walking down the street, for his daily walk.. I
wonder sometimes if hes ever walked Into anything :-) He
sure misses a lot not looking around.. :-)
A friend phoned me this morning, just to say hi and see how
I was.. which I am ok.. nothing great, but I'm here ! Anyhoway,
they said they were going on a picnic, I asked was it by a lake
or river, and its in just a park..nothing spectacular.. That I guess
you would call a picnic..My idea of one is by a river or lake to
add to the fun and of course to build up an appetite.. :-)
When I was married to David we would go to a park by the river.
I forget the name of it .. but it had a boat launch and tables..was
a big place, even had band concerts in a special dome thing..
Well the little kids were playing with a ball.. and they were a bit
too close to the river...the ball of course went in. Sheila, my ex
sister in law, Davids brother Mark's wife, decided she would
TRY to get the ball for them... She walked over to the boat ramp
and took off her shoes and proceeded to go down that ramp
to the river.. We all watched as she laughingly did this.. If you
know anything about boat launches..you KNOW what happened
next... :-)
Sheila took a few steps... the next thing we saw were her 2 feet
Sheila took a few steps... the next thing we saw were her 2 feet
and legs up in the air as she did the nicest whoopie de do , and
landed on her butt IN the river.. Boat launches are VERY slippery
to feet.. Why she didn't know that .. well we all laughed and of
course ran up to see was she ok.. She was sitting there in water
up to her waist, she HAD the ball! All she said was.. "MOVE the
game away from the RIVER!~ :-) I'm NOT getting this thing again!..
We had a good laugh.. she WAs soaked not counting all the slimey
green grass stains on her butt ! :-) She was cooler than the rest of
us.. didn't bother to go home and change, she dried very fast..The
kids saw her in the water and cool ..the kids wanted to go swimming
too!!
I know my birds are enjoying the bird bath in this heat.. The past few
days its been up in the 90's..There is NO air outside and I can feel it
in here, my AC is running good AND constantly, AND its not leaking.
The hall is dry. Penny checked it today.. I'm glad.. I was NOT going
to be responsible to any damages to the carpet..Bad thing is my
electric bill has already doubled.. :-( that does NOT make me happy..
and its only the start...:-(
Well its lunch time and we're having grilled ham and cheese IF
Well its lunch time and we're having grilled ham and cheese IF
Penny has time..it was a busy day today.. and the time just went
by so fast...Every time I type I hit the letter a.. -( I don't like the
keyboard on this laptop..Maybe cuz my nails are too long? I dunno..
What this GORGEOUS WEEBLE DOES know is shes hungry...
so that means its post time..BUTTTTT.... I shall return!!! :-)
Always, Lois ****
"God Bless You" is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you 'friend'.
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...

Hi Mary,
I wish I had some tomato plants.. If you cut off the big leaves, sometimes that helps. Makes the plant stronger ..less energy to the leaves and more to the harvest.. :-) My dad did that to his.. He was a great gardener.. Good luck with the scan! Take care..
Love N'Hugs,
Lois ****
