My good friend Susan lost her dad... We say
lost, but hes still there with her and she has
wonderful memories, so maybe passed on is
the best wording... I know how she feels, my
dad passed in '89...and I miss him to this day.
As these years have gone on, its been easier
to accept his absent from my life, but at
first it was so very hard.. My dad was such
a wonderful man and a huge influence on me
that I really didn't realize till now ... But he
made me the strong person I am, so did my
mom, they made me independent and taught
me that the very best person I KNOW I can
rely on is ME...
I remember when I found out my dad had
passed, I phoned home to tell them I would
be arriving earlier than expected it was
then my mother told me "you don't have to
hurry now dear, daddy is gone".... The 6
hour ride home was awful... I was travelling
by bus from Buffalo NY to Upper Michigan,
that was the longest ride of my life. It took
me 3 years before I could give away his things.
I wore his watch most of the time until I gave
it to my son....
We have snow, then we have snow, AND THEN
we have MORE snow... For the past week it has
snowed every day.. and the storm we just had
yesterday about snowed me in... I learned the
hard way about staying stocked up.. I keep
enuff food for the cats for 2 weeks, me I
always can find something and I have a nice
supply of groceries and I even have one of
those old hand turn can openers, Penny still
wants an electric one, but I have to much on
my counter now... :) and I just got a mail about
the outdoor solar lights will work indoors if
you need them so you don't have to worry
about batteries.. :)
I put a couple of my calendars up there for
y'all but specially for you Mary :) Y'all stay
safe and warm, and this GORGEOUS
WEEBLE will be back soon...

Alwasy pleased when I see you have a blog entry. Although I am sorry that you have had so much snow. Hope hat you are keeping warm and as you say you have plenty foodstuff to get you bye..
It is cold here now with the threat of snow but I don't think it will reach us in the west of the UK..Fingers crossed. I do wish that spring woudl come quick quick.

Hi my dear Lois..hope you're doing okay.. kiddo? as haven't heard from you in awhile.. and so sorry my friend.. you're having it rough again..with those awful pains..hope it eases off for you soon.. I'm thinking of you dear heart. and you're always in my prayers and heart though far apart..hope your snow glow has gone now , ours has here.. it was grand yesterday Saturday.. bright and sunny I think maybe Spring is finally on its way and about time.. it was a tad frosty last night but is sunny and pleasant again today Sunday.... the early Spring bulbs are budding now just peeping and just pushing through the earth in our garden..and lots of new growth and buds coming..on the trees.. we have a lovely clump of nodding white snowdrops near our front door they certainly brighten it up and so nice to see after a long Winter so it seems..anyway must fly away into my new day..

Aw, Beverly. I'm so sorry for your loss. Your auntie was a brave soldier, in God's army -- and I have no doubt that she is with Him now.

I talked to Penny by phone yesterday, Feb 19. Penny told me our sweet lovely friend Lois passed on yesterday after a long fight with heart problems. A light has gone out in my life.

My Dear Beverly,
My deepest sympathy to you and all your family at this sad time. Like many more, I shall miss Lois very much. She was the only person in whom I could confide my innermost feelings. She was so brave, wise and friendly. Despite all her trials, she always seemed so feisty and up-beat when we chatted for hours on Skype.She knew that I prayed for her every day. I just hope that helped her in these last few difficult months. Every time I tickle our Lab, Holly, under the ears, I shall remember "Aunty Lois" asking me to do that for her. Our special "Weeble", we miss you.

Lois's loved ones and family and friends....hello .. just thought I'd pop by.. as her blog is still on.. and I don't know if and when it'll be taken off and gone soon.. sorry for this intrusion at such a sad time.. but you were all on my mind .wondering how you are from afar....to say hope you're all coping and doing more okay..you never know what to say.. but you're all in my heart and prayers.. you must be missing her an awful lot ..like us all..I'll always hold a special place and part of her in my heart too.. for such a lovely lady special butterfly.. Good to see that my mother was so well loved. I read her blog and spoke to her, as we tried to reconnect. But time was not on my side. I went to my Aunts house and took a few things home with me. I am reading her journal now to try and get a better understanding of her.

Sorry, anonymous dear lady, Lois and I “ran” with each other over 5 years. We had a nice relationship, laughing, hollering, telling awful stories. Early on we decided it would be a fun affair, not spoiled by serious thoughts. No heavy breathing. I know if we still runnin’ she would be steamed by any move on my part to suggest there was anyone anywhere who could replace her. But with her gone I know she would giggle at me trying to find another like her. I mean if Candy is Sarah N ... we go back a long way too. Same for sweet darling Rachel. But, no matter, if there’s anyone, anywhere I could bring the same kind of happy to, I’d like to do it. Meanwhile though I admire your loyalty to Lois, I fear it is unwarranted..

My Little Butterfly

Today a little butterfly flew by me.
I thought to myself where have you been little butterfly.
You come into this world as a cocoon all by yourself and blossom into
this beautiful butterfly and fly off to see the world.
What you don’t realize little butterfly as you flutter through your days
is how you touch those around you in your soft gentle way.
You don’t even realize the wonder and awe you create around you.
she fluttered her wings toward me as if she was waving good-by as she
headed towards the horizon.
She looked very happy and content as she went on her way, as if to say
to me “Don’t worry I’ll be okay”.
I was sad to see her go for she had touched my heart in such a way that
I knew my life would never be the same.
She had left an imprint of all the beauty life has to offer.
I knew each time I looked at another butterfly or horizon I would
remember our moment in time when it was only her and I.
I knew I would be a better person all because this little butterfly flew by
me one bright sunny day.
