To Bake or NOT To Bake, That Is The Question

I have been thinking of baking some of the good cookies I have

recipes for..and I have some really great ones that I haven't made

in years..That were my grandmothers and my mothers..I always

said since my mother passed away the best thing I could have of

hers is her recipe box and cook books. I have some dating back

to 1920's..so interesting.. my mothers recipe box has some

of THE best recipes in the world..But then you know any good cook

values her recipes..I do...

I looked around my kitchen which has been torn up for 2 days, with

the ice maker and garbage disposal mess and contemplating what

all will be involved with doing a lot of baking..and I really don't know

if I want to tackle it..I am sure Jane would help but she is only here

for 2 hours twice a week. and the cleaning and laundry do have to

have priority.. But she could dig out the pans etc I will need to make

this stuff, the cookies and breads...The clean up will not be easy

either. So much to take into consideration just to do a bit of baking.

For me to even mix these things up I have to use a tv tray, I have a

nice wooden one, that is a great height for me, that works really

good..but its not very big when it comes to mixing etc you just

need more room..The counters are just too high for me. just pulling

up to them the top of the counter comes up to my arm pits..That's

why I have to take everything into consideration before I start to do

anything.. water runs down my arms when I use the sink.so I have

to kind of hold them up...or they get all wet. then that makes them

ache...*sigh*

Then if i make cookies I will have to use the cookie sheets which

will not fit into my newer oven and means I will have to use the other

one which is dangerous but just a cookie sheet is not that heavy that

I really need to worry about using it..and I think I can fit my breads

if I make any in my other oven.. I have one of those combination

microwave/regular ovens..does both..but its not near the size of the

oven on the stove.. Decisions decisions... lol...

My monitor is acting up really bad..just shut off on me 3 times today

for no reason..I thought maybe was Dutch messing back there he

always tries to get back there I have NO idea why, if you saw what

i have to do to this at night to keep him off it ..Almost totally cover

everything with a blanket or he will plunder all over my desk all night

long..I have NO idea what he is looking for..But I do worry about this

monitor action..its like it just shuts off by itself..I have no idea what

is wrong with it..I got it from Donnie when Dutch accidentally spilled

water into the top of my other one..this one came out of an old office

that had been closed and I've had it for 2 years now..I guess it may be

wearing out...I have no idea.. but If I disappear for a few days lol

then you know just say "ohoh Lois lost her monitor" lolol..and say a

prayer that I get one ASAP lol..Id feel shut off from the WHOLE world

with out this thing lol...

Well I think I am going to go and see if I already may have some

cookies out there in the kitchen already made that may need to be

checked out to see if they are any good lol..so I will sign off for now.

Anyone wanna come over and bake cookies with me? well, come on!
But YOU got to do the dishes :-D I dont do floors or dishes lol
well some times I do dishes I try not to dirty many . I am so glad they
invented paper plates,, now THAT'S a BLessing! :-)
