~Nice Cool Day~

Today was actually really a cool one..in more ways than one.

Penny came, got us all clean, went and picked up the refil for

my BP patch and the added script for BP medication, Lopressor,

which they took me off of to give me the patch..go figure .. My

pressure was up today tho..202/98.. But that was before I put on

my new patch, and I was a day late doing that.. This new pill they

gave me has to be taken twice a day, I don't do good with those

kind..Im lucky to remember to take them ONCE a day let alone

twice.. I have the little reminder boxes I even have one that has

an alarm on it..well I forget to do stuff when Im in a hurry and I

didn't reset the alarm so..useless for me.. I am just not a good

pill taker, I would make a awful druggie.. I don't even have ANY

kind of pain reliever here, oh no I do, I have some aspirin.. My

Drs office when they called about the pill didn't say anything on

taking a baby aspirin daily.. I duno ..everyone is so different..
The temperature was the other cool for today.. The boys and I
sat in the door way with the door open and it was so nice.. A

great cool day.. Dutch sat in my lap for over an hour watching

the birds and cars.. LB wasn't really interested, he came up

to the screen a few times but wandered back and laid down..

When they put the air conditioner in the bedroom they had to

take out the screen so I have it and put it across the door so

they cant get out on the porch.. I havent had it checked out

real good as far as the screen.. I can only sit out on there if I

stay on the ramp.. I cant go off of it.. If a wheel went off of it

I would more than likely fall out of it if I was up by the door to

come in.. the outside screen door its the same level as the

ramp end.. but the sides are graduated so If I went off it I

could be in trouble.. I found that out almost the hard way..
I took the power chair out there cuz I thought I saw a UPS guy

bring a box. So I went down the ramp to the outside door and

the front wheels went off the end of it.. there is only about one

inch of height, no biggie.. but when I started to back up the

ramp..the chair hesitated, and I turned the speed up a TAD,

the chair went back, but at an angle and I headed towards the

side of the ramp. If I had gone off I would have gone backwards

off of it..and my chair would have probly tipped and either way

It would have gone I could have gotten hurt.. Once the chair got

over the ridge it did a sort of more powerful backup.. and that's

when I went towards the edge, so needless to say I do have to

be careful out there.. I did enjoy the fresh air like that..was really

nice.. My Impatients , double white, are doing real good.. they

look so nice there... I like the porch.. I just wish it was a flat floor.

I don't think you can really see the drop off..almost 10 inches

if not more... quite a bit..

This new power chair has a swing away joy stick which for up to

the desk is nice, but this thing moves at the drop of a hat.. I don't

like that at all.. I almost tore it off when I was going thru the doorway

into the kitchen and just as I got up to it I did something and it swung

back and to the side and my chair wont fit thru a door way with my

hands on the wheels let alone that joystick hanging there.. I was

glad the chair stopped right away or it would have been torn off.

I looked to see if there is a way to lock it so when you want to put

it back to get closer to something you have to unlock it.. Maybe

there is one on it.. I don't see it but I will look thru the manual and

if that doesn't work I will call and ask R & R about it.. If it cant be

locked in place ok..but I wish it could.. Ive sworn at that thing a

few times now.. I just am NOT good in a power chair.. I like my

manual..keeps me strong and GORGEOUS :-)

Well its that time again for food.. Lunch today was beef and

noodles..Dutch tried to bury it..so you KNOW what I did with it.

They sent a survey yesterday and I filled it out, I was honest too..

They say they get new cooks..well ok fine..but if the keep using

the same crappy recipes..well you still get the same crappy

tasting food I would think.. But I don't get paid for thinking do I?

I forgot to have Penny get some bananas for me today and I

will have to do with out them till Friday.. Im waiting for the lady

from the Angel Food place to call..its Wednesday so probly

tonite after church she will or perhaps even come by... I am

not going to get as much this time... But its good.. I know where

some good food is that I can get to ..and that's where I am

rollin off to.. "Nitey Nite"
