~Grand Central Station~
What a Wednesday.. I have been busy ALL day... One thing
after another it seemed.. Penny got here at 9 and we were
discussing the black mold in the basement and she proceeded
to tell me about her niece that was in a similar situation but in a
apartment complex... She even had to have her kids put on
special breathers.. Well its a serious hazard..to people and
animals.. Well during the course of the conversation her niece
proceeds to tell her that many of Kens houses are going to be
put up for auction and the tennants were already moving out.
Taxes or something.. Well needless to say I about went off...
I hadnt gotten any notice of anything..or TOLD anything...what
was wrong with this picture..
Naturally I called Ken, no answer, so I call Chris, he got hold of
Ken and then Chris called me back, and he did assure me that
this house was being refinanced and not to worry. Knowing how
good their word is..well I took it with a grain of salt.. Just as
Penny is leaving we see Ken pull up and he comes in and looks
at everything, took notes and said early tomorrow morning that
Kenny, I guess will be here to finish up this living room..ceiling
and wall... He noted the toilet how loose, noted the kitchen window
and most of all he went down the basement and smelled and
saw the mold on the walls.. He said Kenny will bring over a de
humidifier and hook it up down there to draw out the moisture..
I showed him and let him smell my box of ruined thread plus
the other things I am trying to save... He said nothing other than
I should have known a basement is no place to store things..
He said the mold etc should wash off and I brought to his
attention of my 3 wheel chairs down there that are ruined by
the smell as well.. I don't know what to do.. I bet I have way
over 2000.oo worth of just material down there. Why did not
Chris tell me this wasn't a good basement..What did I know,
Ive never had one before in the other houses I had. I sure am
upset though about this...
While Ken is going out the door, my nurse Jane came in.. I
should have put a swinging door on there ! as busy as it was
today.. If anyone saw the steady stream of traffic..in and out
most of the day, Penny, Chris, the lunch girl, Ken, Jane, the
nurse and shortly I am expecting Donnie to stop by.. they would
wonder what was going on.. I don't have to go out to be in
contact with anyone.. and tomorrow Theresa will be here.. I
will tell her about all this crap that's going on.. The only one that
wasn't here that was sposta be was Heidi, she said she was
going to come by..she probly got busy somewhere.. I wish she
would let me know something..So I know what to say to Denise
the lady that has the house on the lake for rent... I maybe need to
talk to Ken about getting this place HUD subsidized..Maybe he
would do the remodeling I suggested..and make a deck and
ramp out back..Such a beautiful back yard and not being used
or enjoyed is a crime against nature I think.. :-)
I don't know if I got anything accomplished but I tried anyway,
Im hoping I did. I know ONE thing we did though..and Penny
made a Meat Pie.. I told her how to do it..and it is really good.
I tasted it.. I did put it up as I know if the boy smells it and sees
it.. I owe him one for his birthday that I didn't get him anything..
No, I think I owe him cabbage rolls..those are really his favs..
mine too really... Meat pies are just my variation of the Cornish
pasty.. I was raised on them..
Since I am using my dining room table has made a big big
difference as I can fit right up to it..and my chair will too.. I
did find that I cannot have my arms on the armrests when I
go up to it though ... I pinched my arm the other day I just
about saw stars and it left a bruise... But its a very good
height for me to work at...I just wish I had better storage
for my dishes etc.. well a cupboard I can reach...
Well I have to make a phone call and wish my sister a
happy birthday, shes 80 today ..no no just kidding.. I
think shes 66.. I want to find out how her legs are doing
too. . shes been having so much trouble with them and
with her sugar .. She is a diabetic.. I do worry for her..
If worse comes to worse, she has a loving husband and
If worse comes to worse, she has a loving husband and
kids that will take very good care of her...and her house
is already wheel chair acessible..so that's a good thing..
The good thing for me now is to end this..get some of
my meat pie..answer a couple mails..and yell at the ones
that havent replied to me YET...and see what their major
malfunction Is...broken fingers is the only acceptable
malfunction :-) I didn't sleep very well and was up very
late last nite after midnight which I havent done in ages,
I did sleep till 8 though..so I got some sleep..I am tired
though this was a very hetic day..but I do have some
meat pie..oh ..and I had Penny get me a Pumpkin Pie
from the bakery.. so three guesses whats next? :-)
Yup... "nitey nite"....
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya..and THANKS!
Always, Lois ****
