~Smilin' Day~

Im smiling and pleased.. the bathroom door is done, all
that's left to do is paint it.. Carl showed up at 9 like he
said he would and he did a great job, and fast too I
think... He will be back tomorrow to paint it.. I told him
it gives him a chance to get out of the house, he laughed
at that :-) From what I know of his wife I think he might
look for reasons to get away :-) She was so out of it the
day I moved in here over putting stuff in the garage. I
didn't see her, or hear her, which is probly a good thing.
Donnie said she was screaming and crying and worried
him! We had permission she just didn't know it... So I
was being kinda tacky when I said that to Carl, but I
wouldn't think she would tell him what a screaming thing
she was that day..
Donnie, every time he comes over he waits by his truck
and looks to see if she is watching out their window.. He
will deliberately wave to her :-) He said the last time
he was here that she was watching.. So I watched when
he left I wonder if she knew I was waving at her and
not Donnie? Shes a tad nosey..which is ok.. I watch
everything too, like that poor cat over across the street.
I think it is a good thing really to keep an eye out for
your neighbors house.

I had taken a nap one day, when I got up my neighbor,
Peggy came over and asked me "Lois, who was that guy
just at your house?" I told her I was asleep.. no one
was there.. I hurried back to my house grabbed my
purse and my wallet was gone. I did call the police,
and with my neighbor seeing the kid, was a young kid
about 15, 16... they got him.. Her son knew who he was.
But if she hadnt been watching my house, even though
I was home, just think if it had been someone really
bad that had hurt me? Its not really a bad thing at all
to watch out for your neighbors.. I do, whether they
like it or not ... but I don't get fanatical about some
thing like she did with us moving stuff into a garage,
could be she saw my grandson in law with his 3 brothers
that made her do that.. They are Mexican... no telling
what goes through someones mind.. but she should have
called Joe, not confront them like she did...that could
get you hurt.

I was watching TV laying on my bed, and I laid there
and looked down at my stumps, trying to see if I could
still sense where my legs were. I looked at the edge
of the bed, but I couldn't imagine my legs there. Its
like Ive never had them. The sensation of them being
there was gone for that time... which usually I can
feel where my legs and feet are all the time. But last
night, maybe that's why I noticed this feeling of there
NOT being a feeling or to imagine seeing my feet or
legs.. Maybe ive just not paid that much attention to
that because I usually am involved watching TV or asleep.
:-) but I did last nite, and it was kind of a shocky, no,,
maybe a sadness? that I don't remember.... then again,
maybe it IS a good thing... I get too logical :-) But it
was a strange feeling that I never noticed before..
Made me kind of sad, I do miss my legs...but to not
remember or to be able to see them in my minds eye.
That makes me sad... but.. well time goes on..

Sad turns to glad in a blink of an eye, listen to some
great tunes.. go to Kacey's... some great stuff there.
I go there a lot to listen to the songs she has.. If you
do leave her a note and tell her I sent you :-) She will be
pleased... It IS a great site. But music does help- it can
lift you up when your down and if you want someone to
cry with you.. play some country songs they will do that
for ya too :-) Like it says, 'Music doth sooth the savage
beast', or something like that.. and its true.. Me, I'm an
oldies fan.. good old Rock N Roll.. will get this chair of mine
goin sometimes :-) Yup.. I dance all over in this chair ...
WHEN I am by myself that is :-) I always did LOVE to
dance... :-) still do ....

My next site is in the kitchen, Penny made lunch for us
just some lasagna hamburger helper.. she added a little
extra spices and cheese and its really good.. I did order
my angel food today, that Peggy is so nice, she calls to
get my order and then her son brings it to me.. How great
is that.. I am like Mary says, Very Blessed.. and I surely
agree.. Time to post, eat then make a pot holder to see
if I can.. Which, I KNOW I can :-) This very Blessed
GORGEOUS WEEBLE says "G'day, G'day"... :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? Love ya and Thanks !
Always, Lois ****

"God Bless You", is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you "friend".
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...

    WOW great pictures Lois.
    Your home is looking great.
Sure glad that lady was watching your home, and very glad they got that person too...can you get a bell or something that would let you know if someone open your door?
That a scary thing to happen.
Having a quiet day here, hoping to do some sewing for Pam this afternoon.
God bless you Lois and keep you safe.
    Mary

I was in a south asian neighbor-hood, and got 2 cauliflowers for $1.00 - that's 2 kilos (lbs) of cauliflower. My guy likes cauli-flower and I will get 4 quarts from the batch and I will freeze 3 of the quarts.

    Hi, Honey,
Was reading about Tina Turner to-day. She's 70 in November, looks about 30!!! She is doing a tour this year, coming over to the U.K. I believe.
We have a "Neighbourhood Watch" scheme running in the U.K. Each area can set up a watch, though this is mainly about burglaries and such. In a village like Exford, we country folk look out for each other most of the time. The Village Shop is the centre of our "Grape Vine"!! - Sally always keeps her finger on the pulse, you might say!!
Despite what my Mac spellchecker is telling me, there are NO spelling mistakes in this piece!!
I've just realised (after all these years) that neighbour is an exception to the rule "i before e, except after c"
Momar, 2 kilos = 4.4 lb. Be a sensible chap and stick to proper measures, like pounds and quarts and feet and inches. We are p----d off, over here, with the authorities trying to make us change the habits of a lifetime
    Take care, Honey,
    Luv Ya,
    Raife
