~Tents Going Up~

I woke up this morning, laid there, opened my eyes and

Dutch was sitting way up on top my wardrobe, on top of

a box. My ceiling fan was on, slow speed, thank goodness.

He was in a play mode, that's why he jumps up there. The

only time he can jump up there is when my wheelchair is

by the bed. He gets on the handlebars and jumps quite a

distance up there. I watched as this goofy cat made slaps

at the ceiling fan! I yelled at him to get down, he tipped

his head to the side in kind of a playful "haha Mom" and

continued to take swings at that fan!.. He finally connected

and his foot, ok paw, hit the fan, he pulled it back really

fast and had this really puzzled look on his face as if to

say "What the heck is that?", looked at his paw and then

to me and meowed as if expecting me to slap that fan

that got him! I laughed at him, slid into my chair and I

left the boy up there! I turned the fan off as I rolled

out the door.. I knew he could get down, he just jumps

farther onto my bed, and that's a nice soft landing.
By 9, Penny and Rebecca both had called this morning.

Each changing the time they would be here. Rebecca,

I told her to just give me a call when she was on the

way and Penny came after she took her Police report

to the police station. Apparently someone broke into

the foster care house and into the locked medicine

cabinet and stole pills. She had to list all that was

there and then get them all refilled. This is the 3rd

time that house has been broken into and things taken.

Last time it was the 32 inch TV and DVD, computer

type stuff. This house is in a bad part of town and I

know my self would only take 1 time and I would be

moving. If your robbed once, the thieves KNOW you

are going to replace it.. So I would say odds are they

will be back !... At least that's what I heard on TV :-)
I also awoke to rain. Not really cold though. I like the

rain and I hope it rains all day! My lawn is looking so

dry I need a good garden hose and sprinkler, I had

one at the little house but was a cheap hose I think

and its not any good Penny said. But I do have the hose

holder out there to keep it neat and will make it easier

every so often to put out a hose and sprinkler. I know

will make the grass grow more , its really dry out there.

I want the yard to look nice for Magic Week. Its only

a couple weeks away and I see lots of the neighbors

getting their yards fixed. 2 already have tents up. I

think its going to be great fun..

Lisa and Steve have offered for me to go along with

them to the magic shows over here at the high school.

The night ones that is.. I'm kinda leary about that as

I don't know how familiar they are with chairs and I

don't know the set up over at the school, if they are

prepared for wheelchair people to attend. They may

not even think about that. I should call and find out.
That way I will know. Rebecca and Penny both want

to come up for all the doings. I'm really looking

forward to it. I havent decided whether to have a

yard sale or not YET..

However ! ....I DID get a lawn chair, just in case

I DO have company that would like to sit out front

with me, will have a nice chair to sit in :-) I'm looking

for one of those chair umbrellas that clamp onto the

handle bars or back of a lawn chair. I cant take the

sun directly on me, I over heat :-) I take that back,

PENNY is looking for a chair umbrella.. :-)

Time for me to Post this and get back to sewing. I

want to get these things made for the kids then maybe

start on some things for Magic Week so that if I do

decide to put a table out I will have something to put

on it :-) This GORGEOUS WEEBLE is warning ya again...
