~We Got Smart!~ :-)
Before switching..
When I wanted to take a picture from my back or front
door, it wasn't easy. The storm doors, as we call them,
are divided so you can put screens in top and bottom or
all glass or half and half. When the warm started Penny
switched the bottom glass for the screen. Which I did
enjoy, except when I wanted to take a picture !.. To take
one through the screen made it hazy or out of focus. So,
if I wanted a clear photo I had to hold my camera above
my head, hoping I was aiming right and take the pictures
After I wrote yesterdays blog, Penny was still here,
we had lunch together. Well she made it, so she sure
deserved to EAT some of it.. That meatloaf was
EXCELLENT :-) the cake was delicious. Anyway, I
asked her if she could switch the glass and screen.
She did the front and back doors :-) I AM HAPPY!
I mean, what a difference! I still feel the nice breeze
but NOW with glass at the bottom.. its wonderful..
All my photos wont be out of focus and I can see
what I am taking a picture of and the best part .....
my arms wont ache from holding them above my
head :-) You can see the difference in the two photos.
Plus look how pretty those Morning glories are. They
sure are slow climbers though and with the pole right
there you would think they'd climb it.. DUH.. nope..
Penny had to go out and TIE them up to show the
get a small free paper, mostly ads and things for sale.
There is a column called Good Neighbor, I wrote to
There is a column called Good Neighbor, I wrote to
them, who knows maybe someone has some wood they
dont need.. I also found out from a friend, that used
to be my caseworker, that there is a fund that will help
landowners to improve their property to facilitate a
disabled person.. Like building ramps or fixing a room
or anything. She gave me the number for Joe to call
and Im going to relay the info on to him and who knows
it might work.. Worth a try anyway.. :-)
Its been trying to rain all morning, clouds up, gets all
dull looking then the sun peeks out.. My yard is so dry,
I need a hose and sprinkler. The wind moved that tray
of pots the glories came in that Penny forgot to throw
away and I didnt see them out there. NOW they have
to sit out there, which drives me batty, I HATE mess,
but no one will be here today but Chris the lunch girl,
and I wont ask her to bend over and pick all that up,
even though I know she would, shes such a sweetie.
She comes around the other way on tuesday and thurs
day, just so she can get my mail for me since those
are the days Penny isnt here :-) Chris is going to have
a baby boy in September and its going to be a big
baby by the size of her. So she doesnt need to bend
over to pick all that up for me :-) Penny will be here
tomorrow and take it to the garbage this time, then
if we get more windy storms I dont need to worry
of it blowing all over the neighborhood :-)
I saw a program about kids with this disease Progeria?
Its the one where they age to their 70's and are only
Its the one where they age to their 70's and are only
9 or 10 years old.. I watched that show and I kept thinking
of those sweet kids, living a whole lifetime in just a few
years.. From what they said a little girl in the UK I think
is going to be first to test a new drug that they think will
stop this disease.. I watched that, and here I am complaining.
Ive had 64 years, a full life, wish I had done more, but mine
aint over yet and Im looking forward to hopefully 20 more.
But these poor kids, to have to cram a whole lifetime into
just a few years.. The parents of this cute little girl had
taken her to India and were travelling. That sure was nice
of them, at least she is experiencing new and wonderful
things in her short life. I just hope this new med they
think they found works.
Every day I get reminded that MY life isnt really that
bad, sure I sit CONSTANTLY, and I get aches and pains
Im not used to.. but if I take care of all my other health
problems, I can hopefully look forward to 20 or maybe
even MORE years ahead... and those kids.. who has it
harder? I should bite my tongue out of my mouth every
time I whine or have a pity party.. well cant do that either,
I got no bottom teeth.. :-) Im REALLY in bad shape! :-)
Rebecca is due today, what time I have NO idea, dont
matter, I will be here, she will call when she is on the
way. I like to be forewarned of company. Even Donnie
calls first. Sometimes from my driveway, once from
inside the kitchen ! I didnt hear him come in so he
dialed the phone so I wouldnt get scared and stroke
out if I turned around and saw him just standing there,
like he did one time.. Scared the HELL otta me. I bet
I scared him more when he saw the effect it had on me!
Well my next effect I want to feel is the lessening of
these hunger pangs Im feeling.. :-) There is some of
that left over meatloaf calling me to come and make a
sandwich and who could resist that ? :-) Not THIS
GORGEOUS WEEBLE .. Meatloaf here I come ! BUT!
GORGEOUS WEEBLE .. Meatloaf here I come ! BUT!
I shall return ! :-)
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? luv ya and thanks!

Hello Lois
Yes the pictures are great...glad it doesn't hurt your arms anymore to take them.
Bob went out in the back yard today twice...up and down the front steps twice..took him for car ride...a big day for him...when I came back from shopping he was setting on the front porch rocking...
Sure hope you will get that porch that you need, real soon.
God bless you Lois.

Hi, Honey,
Those flowers look absolutely super!
One of the things to help you stay with us for another 20 years (and we ALL hope you will) is to try to stop that chair of yours shrinking!!
I'm afraid all kinds of nasties come with shrinking chairs!
So take care and eat up all those lovely carrots and greens and lettuce and water cress and -------
Take care, Honey,
Luv Ya,
