Amputee life before and after...

~Crazy Weather!~

Stormy looking sky, then it clears up and is sunny. I
don't think the weather knows what it wants to do :-)
I feel pretty good today, no significant aches or pains!
I am MOST happy about that :-) I slept pretty good
too. I only got up once and that was because Dutch woke
me by just steady marching across my chest, would flop
down then get up and do this about 5 or 6 times till he
KNEW I would wake up, realize I had to GET up, which
I usually do and make a potty call.. When I get back to
bed the boy is snoozin where I was laying ! He does
that to LB too if he wants to lay where he is.. That's
why they fight so much :-) Rotten kid... I went right
back to sleep after I got myself all tucked in .. which
takes awhile. I have to have a plan of attack for every
thing I do.. :-)
I have 6 or 7 pillows on my bed, 2 are body pillows. I
keep those behind my head as they are LONGER than
me ! And I like them up there for when I lay and watch
TV. So, when I lay on my back and want to prop my
stumps up, I hold them up, take a pillow and pull it right
up next to my butt, then fold it in half, well its too
wide :-) This holds my stumps up, then I pull the other
of my pillows along side of me up to my arm pit so my
arms don't hang down at my sides. That's a lot more
comfy, they taught me that after the open heart surgery.
It works great specially when the boys want to lay NEXT
to me and not on my face or chest. :-) When I get up, it
looks like a U shape of pillows and I snuggle down right
in the center of that U, and I sleep side ways on a double
bed.. Makes it into a king size for me :-)
These red headed birds, Ive been calling them female
cardinals, but I'm beginning to wonder. They fly with
the bunches of chickadees or what ever those little
birds are, so I'm wondering what they are if they
could be the chickadee females? :-) What ever they
are I'm most pleased theyre here ! Ive not seen the
cardinal lately and I havent seen the wild canary again
either. My hummer comes by almost every time I am
in the doorway, hes so fast, I never get time to get
my camera ready :-) The doves are here all the time. I
love hearing the soft COOO, they make.. And always 2,
in pairs.. I bet they are like geese and mate for life.
But that's how its sposed to be isnt it... The animals
know :-) I have room to talk being married 3 times!
Well I have to say it WAS a learning experience,
all 3 were so different :-)
Danny, my first hubby was just about the same age
as me. 2 years older he was. Willie, my second hubby,
he was 14 years OLDER than me.. and David? That
Cutie pie was 20 years YOUNGER than me. He may
have wanted a divorce at the wrong time, but we had
a good time together I will say. I taught him how to
cook! Even handle a checkbook. He was raw material
when I married him.. :-) Then there was Sidney. the
merchant seaman, out of Morgan City.. I lived with
him for a year in Galena Park just outside Houston.
Great little town. I liked it there, even though when
the wind blew the wrong way you almost had to wear
a gas mask.. Sid was the one gave me the nickname of
Shotz.. cuz I have such a temper.. I go off like a shot
he would say.. So that's what he called me.. Willie,
he just yelled.. and David, called me Boo..short for
Boobla I think, German for Dear one.. that's what he
said anyway.. :-) Danny, I don't remember what he
called me, I can remember a few names I called HIM
though :-) I will dig out some photos :-)

Anyway, Penny comes tomorrow and I want to finish
up all the shorts I made for ALex so she can mail them
to Kelli. Alex has a cousin the same age, Jorge brothers
boy, so I told Kelli that she can share, or if one of the
cousins wants shorts Id be glad to make some for them.
They are only 2 pattern pieces.. Very easy and fast, plus
take up very little material...

Almost post time, and the sun is back out again.. Crazy
day.. I don't know what my Sunday dinner will be, I did
get a round steak on sale and I may fix that with some
onions and a baked potato.. I am not sure depends how
my arms feel after I'm done sewing :-) If they ache
too much then I sure don't feel like cooking... which ,
that does prevent chair shrinkage :-)

Hope you are having a great Sunday and fair warning
again .. This GORGEOUS WEEBLE WILL BE BACK !!!
I KNOW your glad :-) I look forward to it :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? luv ya, and Thanks!
Always, Lois ****

"God Bless You", is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you Friend.
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again ...

I used to love our back yard when I lived on Long Island. We lived 2 or 3 miles from the ocean. Lots of birds (seagulls and wild turkeys for a start) Now I work in Brooklyn only 3 blocks from the ocean and few birds.
