~Fun Afternoon~ :-)

Another fun afternoon watching my neighbors and of

course all the critters that visit my yard. I watched

that chippie run his patootie butt off trying to escape

the birds. It was hilarious.. He tried to get into the

garage thru a small hole and got stuck with his butt

out and his poor tail, well I'm surprised he still has

one! :-) He ran back and forth a dozen times trying

to get under the doors :-) Poor thing..
He would run up into the pine trees, go from one to

the other I could see him. But there was NO escaping

the birds. they did NOT give up.. Last I saw chippie

he was trying to make a mad dash from the tree to

across the street, guess he figured he could hide

better over in the twin ladys garden :-)
I don't miss too many things that go on outside. I

saw a truck pull up at the black kitty house, and I

saw the lady come out of the door, go up to the

truck and a lady sitting inside it, that looked a lot

like the lady from inside the house. Well, she then

started to hand the lady bags of stuff, about 4 or

5 of the white plastic grocery bags. THEN I saw

her hand over a HUGE stack of CORN on the cob!
I KNEW then what was in the other bags.. ALL
FRESH VEGGIES :-) They put everything along

side the driveway, I saw the lady's hug and wave

to each other, and the truck was gone.. NICE
DELIVERY, I say :-)
A while later I saw the granddaughter and I guess

was a 'gentleman caller', get 2 chairs, put them

across from each other and they proceeded to clean

the corn . It was beautiful corn. Looked yummy.

Was nice to see those kids spending a Sunday after

noon doing something nice and good. I listen to

the radio all day and see the news sometimes, not

often, its too depressing, but all the garbage I

hear with the meth and drinking kids killing kids,

or even worse their parents.. So sad and so very

depressing. When I see these neighborhood kids

doing nice, clean, safe things, like shucking corn

or playing baseball.. it gives me a little hope for

the future for them...
Steve and Lisa are having a yard sale today! I

saw a tripod for a camera out there! I sent Penny

to go out and look to see what they have. A lot of

antiques. I was going to pay them for it, but Steve

gave it to me :-) Wasn't that nice? I'm already

planning to hook it up to my camera.. :-) He told

me again how busy this place is gonna be this

week, but not to worry the cops are around a lot

and NO one is allowed to park on anyones lawn.
He said there will be fireworks again but THIS

time shot off from right here at the high school

and not the elementary like on the 4th. So.. I may

be able to get some good photos.. You KNOW I'm

gonna try! :-) Penny has restocked my battery supply

so I AM prepared ! :-) Its gonna be so tempting to

take photos of all their customers :-)
Do you see my honeysuckle? Its blooming AGAIN!
I am just gonna havta look up and read about it. How

to care for it etc. Since Penny cleaned out all that

weedy viney stuff its doing a lot better. Even the

sunflowers are doing quite well. You can see at one

time someone has put rocks around the edge at

the bottom of the honeysuckle. We, ok PENNY,

might paint those rocks.. Shes offered to clear off

that cement out there, but that is NOT in her job

description :-) But I DO appreciate her offering to

do it. But she has enough to do already.. :-)
My next thing to do is to eat some lunch, what I

don't know.. I was hungry for a pot of beans, so I

put some on to cook while Penny was at the store.

Just some small navy beans with onions and I had

some ring bologna that really seasons beans quite

well.. So later today they will be ready I have them

on high. I will see what Chris brings for lunch and

if its good it will tide me over till then...
