~No Call Yet~

Ive still not heard from my Drs office and honestly
hope I don't today, just in case I might hear what
I don't wanna hear.."Come in to the office".. If they
call and tell me that today I will worry with it all
weekend when I cant call. So I hope if and when
they do they wait till next week now.. I would much
rather deal with it when I CAN make arrangements
that I would need to make, like booking a ride and
hope the appt time is the same time that I can get
a ride.. Sometimes it just doesn't work that way
and then I spend a couple hours going back and
forth re doing it over and over till the ride and
appointment time match.. Joys of chair life..

COA has only 1 wheelchair van I think, I'm not
sure, but they have to know which van to bring..
Usually if Curtis or Mildred are the drivers, they
see my name they know to drive the right one ..
Those 2 are mainly the ones that take me. I feel
quite safe riding with them, moreso than with the
driver from that bus company, he scared the day
lights otta me when he brought me and the boys
up here the day I moved out of the little house.
He was passing cars and everything. Like a speed
racer. I like to take my time and look around.. :-)
Plus take pictures.. Cant do that going full blast
down the highway...

Curtis was nice, on the way back when he took
us to the lab last week, brought us back a different
way so Mark could see more of the countryside..
Lots of Amish farms.. I sure wouldn't mind having
some good homemade Amish butter or some fresh
eggs.. Shirley and Donnie had chickens on their
mini farm... besides the pigs and horses.. Shirley
always brought me eggs and they are SO GOOD..
NO comparison to the store ones.. I made potato
salad and put some of the fresh eggs in it and
the yolks were so yellow it looked more like a
mustard salad. Taste was excellent however.. :-)
Everything homemade and home grown is better
for you now anyway with all the preserves they
put in food...

I have been seeing a lot of this flu vaccine being
made and everyone told to MAKE SURE you get
a flu shot.. Ive not had one in 3 years? I don't
think I'm gonna get one.. I don't ever remember
a time when the govt or whomever it is, pushed
so hard to get everyone to get vaccinated.. and
well it just makes me leary.. I know quite a few
that are not going to get it.. Ive seen some movies
about this kinda stuff, not saying that this is some
kind of people take over, but... well.. I don't wanna
take any chances.. I do get sick every so often,
and only because I am exposed to more people..
Well.. if that's the case, I will lower my contact
with outsiders. Ask Travis and Rebecca to only
come once a month... and not be in the room when
the COA lunch girl comes... There are ways to
protect yourself.. and I expect I will have some
down days this winter I usually do.. part of the
joys of winter though.. But I aint getting a shot..
Plus the fact I don't like shots anyway ... :-)

Well.. this GORGEOUS WEEBLE is gonna go have
some leftover lasagne that Mark made yesterday.
I always give this kid the same reply when he asks
"Did you like it Mum?" all I say is " M M M" :-)
THAT says it all.. :-) Its so nice having him here :-)
The boys are getting spoilt rotten and they LOVE
it.. :-) I do too :-) Time to post and give my daily
warning... "I SHALL RETURN!" :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? luv ya and thanks!
Always, Lois ****

"God Bless You" is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you Friend...
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...

Accessaride in NYC is vast. There are at least 5 companies driving accessaride buses. Each bus sets 5 and takes 2 wc. You book your trip 2 days ahead and all drs are loaded in their computer. If you are going somewhere in Manhattan the view is always scenic.
