~Snow Rules~
Another cold rainy day and more ahead. I don't think
its gonna be too great this week end.. Ive noticed all
the robins are gone, Ive seen the big V's of geese go
over.. I think its gonna be a long winter.. I have been
telling Mark some of the rules of living in snow country.
:-) The Do's and Don't's "just in case" we get snowed
in for a few days, which is possible... Ive seen that
happen before many times.. I don't think this place is
on the snow route like I was in the little house...
A snow route is usually a road that's plowed first and
kept open during bad weather mainly for emergency
vehicles like ambulances and fire trucks... Being that
little house was on a main road and only 2 blocks from
the hospital that road was clear.. Those snow routes
if we were under a snow emergency if you ventured
out in anything but a snow mobile you were in trouble
plus you are not allowed to park on those roads to
help keep them clear..
Then you stock pile and keep a good storage of food.
Then you stock pile and keep a good storage of food.
At least a week. I do.. But I learned the hard way when
I didn't keep enough to last a week, I was used to shopping
every day on my way home from work.. well the meats were
fresher so that's what I did... We got a ton of snow, butt
deep to a giraffe and no one was allowed on the roads..So
it was soup or veggies.. We didn't starve.. but NOW I
keep enough to last OVER a week "just in case' :-)
I have 2 sore bruised thumbs today... I had to laugh at
my self yesterday when Curtis was here waiting for me
to transfer into my manual chair.. I could have taken my
power chair.. But I knew there were gonna be a lot of
people around and I am not the best driver with that
chair, look at my door facings.. I really wasn't too much
better with my manual.. I took a big chunk out of the
ladies desk that I had to see first :-)
After I transferred into my manual I'm sitting there
going to roll towards the door and I reach for the JOY
STICK !! I smiled at Curtis and said "I'm spoilt!" I bet
STICK !! I smiled at Curtis and said "I'm spoilt!" I bet
I did that 3 or 4 times, reached for the joy stick that
is on this power chair... not the wheel.. :-) By the time I
got home yesterday even though Mark or Curtis did
push my chair for me, My arms were give out... They
really ached.. These 2 chairs are so different.. in just
how they feel to sit in them.. Theres more room in the
manual, side to side and its longer, my left stump doesn't
extend past the cushion.. where on this powerchair.. its not
as wide OR as long.. my left stump goes past the edge.
I should have had them extend the seat, like I did on
the manual.. It works so that's all that matters :-)
Well... what matters now is to post this, see what is for
lunch and just enjoy the week end.. No plans and no
company expected till Monday, Penny came today and
got us all stocked up on water and kittie treats... So we
are good to go.. :-) Everyone is happy.. SO.. its that time
for this GORGEOUS WEEBLE to warn ya ! "I SHALL
RETURN!!" :-)
RETURN!!" :-)
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? Luv ya and thanks!

blizzard mentality: I only food shop wednesdays & saturdays. I almost never run out of food.
snow shovelling: I use a spade and shovel 5 and rest 10 minutes.

Hello Lois
Tonight I got on my jacket on to help keep me warm...the night have been cool here.
Not going on the trip Saturday to see Bob brother John, there moving him again for the 3rd time...
Hoping Saturday will be a quiet day for us, not for sure if I going to pick up Michael yet and take him out to eat...
My foot swelled up on me again when I went on the mile walk with Patsy...I think I told you I drop my radio on my right foot around the 4th of Sept...it fell about 5 ft and it is heavy and hit on the corner of the radio on top of my bare foot...still not about to wear a tie shoe or anything that touches it there...got a big knot there and now the swollen back around it...it's so hard to keep my feet up...not much time for that...
God bless you Lois...keep warm and dry too...I don't want any snow yet...

Sweetheart,
Get yourself some of that foam pipe wrap and put it on the legs of the chair. It will keep you from taking chunks out of everything.
God Bless,
Will
