~Birdcage Stand~

Penny made it today, shes feeling better, which I'm

glad.. She and I were talking about the round bird

cage stand I have in the kitchen, and I really like it..

Reminds me of my grammas that she kept in the corner

of the kitchen with her 2 canaries in it.. She named

them Pete and Repeat, or at least that's the names I

remember. :-) I remember too how they would start to

sing the most, or warble? It was great though and

gramma would get herself a cuppa tea and sit there

and encourage the birds by telling them "sing for me,

pretty boys" and as if they understood, they would

sing even louder, sounding like happy birds ... Made

Gramma smile and that was the main thing.. She loved

those birds.. :-) And this stand I have is just like the

one she had, except mine has a basket in it with a

fake ivy and a stained glass parrot hanging under

neath it ! :-) Live plants are not allowed.. :-)

But anyway, Penny has an old birdcage she said.. I

think it may be what I have been wanting for my

stand.. Ive not really looked but Penny has and not

seen any at yard sales. but now she apparently has

one that shes not really using so I asked to borrow

it and she hopefully will remember to bring it when

she comes tomorrow... I think it will look so nice,

she fears it might be too big for it, but I dunno,

that ring is over 3 foot across or up and down..I

hope it does anyway.. :-)


Tomorrow Penny will be coming again and the plan

is for her and Mark to go to Meijers in Coldwater

and let Mark go shopping plus get to check out the

store and see what all is there... Its not that far

only 11 miles or so.. The stuff there is so much

cheaper, well.. SOME things.. And we do need to

stock up on some things that we use a lot of like

certain spices, Village is just too expensive...

I ache today something fierce.. But I looked on

the radar and we have major rain and crap headed

at us.. Dutch woke me this morning about 7 am

walking back and forth across my chest telling me

its time to rise and shine... Some days I just rise

NOT shine :-) Well not till ive had a coffee anyway.

I also heard where there is snow out west! And

that old saying about the busy squirrels.. well these

guys around here are BUSY BUSY! I might get

them, well Penny will.. get them some whole kernel

corn.. Last year we got ground corn and that just

didn't work good.. Joyce chases them off so she

will probly NOT like the idea of me feeding them,

but well THEY have to eat too !! :-)

You know what I'm gonna say next, :-) Well it IS

lunch time ! I think we are gonna have fried tatoes

and Kolbassi and pork and beans.. Bush's beans

with onion are the very best. Ive not had this in

awhile and Mark hasnt really had fried tatoes like

mine.. They were one of Kimmies favorites.. Kelli's

mom.. She would promise to wash and dry the dishes

if I would make my fried tatoes.. Of course I always

did.. I didn't like doing dishes back then any more

than I like doing them now :-) I have a dishwasher

now too. Penny is her name :-)
