~I Finished It !~

Well I said I would put a photo here of my finished dish cloth, I
started another one as well.. Theyre really easy to make..and I
honestly think it helps my hands when I do use them like this,
to knit or crochet.. or sew.. Seems to help them a little.. I like
to do both, knit or crochet.. My grandmother taught me to do
both.. She tried to teach me to Tat..but I just couldn't get the hang
of it.. She did beautiful work.. I have handkerchiefs she made
with the most delicate lace tatting on them..She had so much
patience when it came to teaching me how to do these things.

She kept yarn and needles in a special bag for me when I went
up to her house.. She would sit next to me and gently guide my
hands as to how to hold the yarn and the needles.. I noticed her
hands as she held the needles..and made it look so easy to do.
Her skin was almost transparent.. you could see the blue lines
from the viens.. Her fingers were bent..and no longer straight,
from the arthritis that made them look that way.. She was an
accomplished sewer as well. my mother always brought things
she needed button holes put in as Grandmother was very good
at making them..
I took this photo to show the dishcloth but it will serve 2 purposes.
you can see the spot on my hand..Its not improved..in fact I think
its spread more.. I have NO idea why I cannot get it to heal.. Ive
tried every thing.. I think the next thing to do will be to try some
cortisone or something more powerful.. As you see the boy is
right there behind my hand.. hes never far away.. Lately they both
have been constantly by me or walking across in front of me
between me and the monitor.. Do NOT notice my messy desk
please.. I dint do a good job of cropping this photo.. oh well..
GORGEOUS WEEBLES are allowed to be sloppy when they
don't have a file cabinet to put stuff in.. I still havent gotten one,
I keep threatening to..but well I have other major priorities that
I have no choice but to deal with first... a over 200.oo gas bill
for one !..the joys of winter.. Cut off is next week so Im hoping
I can get some help with it from APS.. My new caseworker
still hasnt called me back on it.. I hope she does soon..They
WILL cut it off.. winter or not.. I already checked on that..

Today is Valentines Day, and that is Rebecca, she's from Keystone...
I did get some nice emails and I was going to make a video but I
just havent had time enough with the way my phone has rung trying
to make arrangements for everything.. from my Dr to getting help
with these bills to finding a better place to live that I don't have to fight
to be able to live in it. Rebecca was here today..shes so nice, brought
me a wonderful candle..and a chocolate rose.. now, how sweet..she
said I am one of her favorite people..That made me feel good..I had so
many things go wrong today that I was just in a snit..I got a lovely gift from
a friend, this from Rebecca and cards.. I feel kinda special.. And
my boy just phoned hes on the way here now.. I took a fast photo just
since its VDay.. not the greatest but..its Me..:-)
So..that means its time for my GORGEOUS WEEBLE words..and
I hope you had a wonderful Valentines Day.."Nitey Nite" :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya, and THANKS!!! :-)
Always, Lois ****

God Bless you, is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,

    Hi Lois
Very nice work there Lois, sure glad you took pictures.
My mother could Tat, I never did learn how...I did try.
I can knit a little and crochet very little. I never had to much time to work with it a lot. All my aunt made there exter money from it...One of them told me when I am old I can make money with it.
My aunts make all the gift for the family reunion wow how I look forward to that. All of the main one are gone now, just a few now make gifts for the reunion.
I am old but does not have the time yet, anyway I do like the computer.
Went to a Valentine's Dinner tonight at the church, had a wonderful time.
Hoping the weather here don't get to bad for Friday....What a wonderful sunny day here this afternoon, didn't need a jacket or coat at all.
    HAPPY Valentine's Day Lois.
    God bless you
    Mary

    Hi, Honey,
You should try spinning wool. There is a lot of lanoline on it, if its a fresh fleece and that is wonderful for the hands.
That is SO unusual, to see a dish-cloth knitted that way, on the diagonal. I guess it means you have to increase until you get to the middle and then decrease. Very complicated! If I could knit, I would opt for the easy way and just knit a straight square. Is there any special reason for knitting it your way, apart from it looks good??
It's good that Donald is coming over. I know how you enjoy his visits.
    Take care, Honey,

    Hi Rob,
Thanks sweetie..:-) You say the nicest things.. You make my day, thank you :-)

    Thanks Mary,
I have an excellent little booklet that teaches you how to do everything and in a easy way to understand.. If you would like the book I will gladly send it to you..a copy of course.. I dont think I even have the original any more..But its one of the best Ive found.. You can also find easy directions to make just about anything on the net..

I sent a little giftie in with your valentine..they are very easy to make and are nice to give to friends or family, be nice for church groups too...:-)

    Hi Raife! :-)
Knitting it point, diagonal gives it more stretch and it retains its shape better..Its made with 100% cotton yarn.. Easy to make and yes..cast on 4, sl 1,k 1, yo,k to end..
that pattern till 56 stitches on the hook..then decrease, sl 1, k 2 tog, yo, k 2 tog, k to end..till you are back down to 4.. I make that size, you can make smaller..I plan to make some small ones for baby.. they are very absorbant too.. glad you liked the photo :-)

    Hi Ya Butty! :-)
I keep missing you, but things have been hetic this week, alot going on.. I will catch you one of these times.. Thanks for more of Europe..excellent photos..

I hope y'all have a good day ! You sure made mine :-) Thanks :-)
