~Casino's~

I got a email in reply to one I had sent. I had mentioned in it

that I needed a holiday, Ive not been away for any length

of time in many years.. I said, in my letter and on here, that I

had considered going over to the lake to enjoy the casino

there. The response was they didn't understand my spending

any kind of money, being the financial situation I am in, at

some "goofy, LOSER, gambling joint." I happen to think if you

are a responsible person and go to a Loser gambling joint

that you are smart enough to set a limit, and don't go over it.

That's what I did when I went to Caesar's Palace in NJ. I

had a blast! :-)

My ex Willie, his daughter lived in NJ not far from Atlantic

City. We drove there from Houston to visit and they took us

to Ceasars Place there. I hadnt been in a casino before so I

really wasn't prepared for what I saw.. The static excitement

and all the tons of people everywhere it was great.. When the

4 of us got there we, of course went up to the cashier to get

coins.. Willie and I got silver dollars to play the dollar machines.

As he handed me my 100 dollars worth of coins he told me

to have fun and we all said to meet back at the cashiers

cage in an hour.. We all agreed and the 4 of us all went in a

different direction..

I walked up to a machine where a lady was sitting and she

seemed a bit discouraged, she saw me watching her and

she asked me if I wanted her seat since she had met her

limit and hadnt won much so she was ready to go.. I thanked

her immensely for the seat, as the stand up machines get

tiring..so it would be nice to sit while I tried my luck..As

she walked away she turned to me and said"I hope you have

better luck than I did" smiled and left..

I dug into my bucket with my coins in and pulled one out and

reached up, put it in the slot..pulled the handle and plunk,

nothing. I dug again and got 2 dollars this time, dropped

them in, pulled the handle again, PLUNK! same thing.. I

saw it took as many as 3 coins at one time so I said to my

self 'why not' and dug 3 coins out and dropped them one

by one into the slots.. I listened as they went thru the

machine and watched as the spinning thing went round

and round.. the first one stopped.. the second stopped,

the third one stopped and PLINK PLONK PLUNK, I

hit the jackpot!! The bells started going off, the whistles,

and lights flashed. It scared me and I thought I had

broken the machine the way it acted so violently ! I looked

up and saw a man rushing towards me with a huge pail and

as he got up to me he introduced himself, that he was with

the casino and there to help me.. I said "I think I WON! "

he smiled as he dug into the tray and put all the coins into

the pail he was carrying.. He escorted me over to the

cashier window and handed her the pail..I had won 500

dollars!! I took the 5 bills she handed me, folded them

nicely and put them away in my purse.. I got my other pail

that had my 94.00 still in it.. I went in search of another

machine :-) When we left I was ahead by 300 dollars.
Willie won 4 and his daughter and hubby won 200.. We

had a blast.. had dinner in a great restaurant and it was

a most memorable time.. :-)

Many cant afford to go to these places and go anyway,

they have a problem and shouldn't go there. If you are

NOT responsible to set a limit as to what you will spend

you could end up in trouble.. I really want to go just to

enjoy a day and nite somewhere else other than here.

I'm not spend thrifty and I don't waste what little money

I have.. but what I enjoy may not be right for someone

else specially if you have any kind of problem, same with

drinking..you know you have a problem stay away from it.

I don't drink or do drugs and I really don't have any vices

not really ..I guess we all do in some form but for me, I

don't have too many problems with THINGS as much as I

seem to with some people...

Anyway If you want to go to a great casino the one here by

the lake is excellent.. a really great one is in Green Bay,

its right across the road from the airport and its the

Oneida Casino..run by the Oneida Tribe of Native Americans.

I am glad these people have them to help their tribes. I

think they are a good thing and I approve.. Casinos are NOT

for the faint of heart or those with no scruples or sense of

values you HAVE to have them before you can go to a place

like a casino, so I am NOT recommending it.. I'm just sayin

Id enjoy it but I know my limits.. so..wanna join me?? :-)

Rebecca came today and the sweetie has fallen and damaged

her left knee.. she can barely walk..she showed it to me and

it is all swollen and red.. I think its just severely bruised but

I told her not to take chances and to get it checked out so I

hope she does.. I have a grandson with a horrible cold, I was

talking to my son and I could hear this boy just coughing and

coughing.. Please put Ty in your prayers, he needs to get rid

of this cold. His Nan is.. :-)

Well another day is almost done and I am most grateful for

having another day.. Was a nice one. Lunch,,, well sadly it

was a "you guess what it is" kind..and even Dutch smelled

it and ran.. so noooo I'm not eating it..if it aint good smellin

to a cat, well it aint fer me :-) what is, are some Dibs and

to say my GORGEOUS WEEBLE "nitey nite" :-)
