~Jasper Stone?~

I was going thru my jewelry today to get some things
together that I want my sons to have. I have grand
daughters that perhaps like jewelry.. While I was going
through my things I came across a ring that was given to
me by a dear friend when I was in the nursing home.. I
am not sure what kind of stone.. I want to say she told me
it was a Jasper Stone from Greece or somewhere? I didn't
look it up on line YET.. I plan to though... Its a lovely ring,
and you see its quite big. The band is very bent too.. Why I
don't know. But its a nice ring...looks hand made.
The back looks gold but its only cuz of the sunlight.. It is
silver. Its badly tarnished and needs cleaning.. The friend
knew I loved jewelry and that I had nothing left so she
brought me this ring and another ring that is on my pinky
on my right hand.. Its mother of pearl set in silver and has
a matching bracelet and a pendant without a chain.. I had a
lovely silver one but its gotten lost somewhere.. I wouldn't
mind wearing it too along with my diamond heart.. That I
never take off.. Ive worn a diamond heart for at least I
know over 30 years.. Before that I wore a pearl.. I love
pearls too .. Well .. I don't think there is any jewelry I
don't like.. well not nose rings or belly button rings.. no..
I wear earrings as I do have pierced ears but only 1
time are they pierced.. That was enough..

My next door neighbor Peggy conned me into going to a
jewelry store with her to look at something she wanted to
get for John, her husband, so she asked me to go with her.
I went.. Not paying any attention that for the past 3 weeks
before she had been pestering me to get my ears pierced.
I refused~!~ no way... So anyway, we get to the jewelry
store and there are quite a few people in there shopping..
I look over in the corner and there was a little girl I think
maybe 3 or 4 ..not very big.. she was sitting up on this high
bench.. I saw a lady go up to her and ZAP! They pierced
that babys EARS!.. She didn't make a sound.. they put her
down and off she went.. I was amazed and thought, "well
that maybe really DOESNT hurt".. Peggy came up to me
and grabs my arm and says "see, I told you it DOES NOT
HURT, come on, you're getting your ears pierced".. I went
over to the lady who was then replaced by a man, very nice.
I sat up on that bench.. they did the prep, washing and that
good stuff to make sure I didn't get an infection and my
ear fall off.. I sat there and tilted my head just a tad like
he said.. and the next thing I knew I felt like the side of my
head had been shot with a GUN~!... IT HURT LIKE HELL~!

I saw the guys face kinda turn white as he says, "I think I hit
a vein or something.. its really bleeding"... I hung my head and
almost cried.. It really hurt.. Thing is..it was the first one.. NOW,
what do I do? :-) let them tear off the other side of my head
and do the other ear or go around with only 1 ear pierced? I
was afraid to but I turned my head and kinda whispered at the
guy, "I'm sitting differently this time, so pay attention what
your doing.. cuz BOTH of us will get hurt this time" He looked
down to see my foot ready and aimed directly at him... It did
NOT hurt on the 2nd ear and it did NOT bleed.. The other ear
If I didn't know better Id say he hit an artery :-) I never
had any trouble with them..

After I was allowed to take out the training earrings I call
them, my first pair of pierced earrings were ruby studs that
Willie bought for me.. I still have them .. I LOVE rubies.. I
think cuz theyre close to my birthstone which is a garnet..
I just have always loved rubies.. then diamonds.. The ruby
ring someone took from me in the hellhome was just the
most beautiful ring.. I sure loved it and I miss it terribly.
I hope whomever took it enjoys it, too bad they don't know
the history of it.. A little lady had it and it was put up at
auction after she passed away.. she had attached a note to
it as she never wore it.. her fingers were too crippled by
arthritis...In the note she had written how much she loved
that ring.. and that it was bought for her when her daughter
was born...this was in 1922... I have the note somewhere ...
As beautful as the ring was...she was loved very much ....
I bet if I saw anyone with that ring on I would know it as
mine.. Its very unique and had the old filagree mounting...

Well.. I'm done for today, I put in a call to Liama about the
bed and to see what she can do.. I have been up since 430,
I just couldn't lay there anymore.. This bed has GOT to go.
I may just sleep on the couch tonite I bet I will sleep a lot
better.. I just don't have a TV in here.. and that's what puts
me to sleep every nite...:-) Time to post and wait for BigKen,
he phoned hes on the way here ... I'm impressed! :-) Now
my GORGEOUS WEEBLE "nitey nite"....

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya, and thanks :-)
Always, Lois ****

"God Bless You", is my prayer today.
I'm so honored to call you "friend".
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again..
