~Kelli's Teeth~

Is that a face or what? that's my Dolly, Kelli when
she was 3 half. It says on the back, December of '87.
Kelli was learning to walk and we were all in my living
room.. Kimmie, Kellis mom was standing there and I
was sitting on the couch.. the coffee table was in front
of me.. A guy that worked for me, Julio was there talking
to Kimmie.. Kelli kinda tottered away from by her mom
and started towards the coffee table..She stumbled and
started to fall towards it and hit the edge. She was too far
away from me to grab her and her mom too.. The only one
close enough was Julio.. He hesitated before he made a
grab for her, when he did reach out it was too late...

Kelli hit the table and started to scream of course, as she
went to the floor.. Kimmie went totally ballistic and yelled
at Julio "WHY didn't you catch her! you SAW she was
falling!!" she was hysterical.. Kelli was screaming and blood
poured out of this babys mouth.. I grabbed Kelli to check
what the damage was and saw the 2 teeth were gone.. I
KNOW I turned white.. I said "Her TEETH! The 2 front
were gone.!"..

Kimmie dropped to her knees searching the floor the whole
time screaming at Julio, "how could you NOT stop her Julio!!"
All Julio said was "Kimmie, I didn't think she would hit it and
just fall on the floor and be ok.. Look at my hands," as he
held them out for her to see they were covered in grease
from working on his truck. "If I had grabbed her and got
grease on her and she not gotten hurt you would have
yelled then too!" I told them both to quit fighting and that
we needed to take Kelli to the emergency room.. we did.

I drove and Kimmie held Kelli, both of them were just sobbing
hysterically... Kimmie was so upset.. We got into the ER and
they took her in right away .. They had to wrap Kelli up and then
one of us had to hold her down while the Dr pushed her 2
teeth, that Kimmie found on the floor, back into Kellis mouth..
Kimmie was so upset she just couldn't go in there and watch
the Dr do that to Kelli, I told her to sit and I would go in
and help to hold Kelli. It was awful to see them shove those
teeth back in.. Kelli would scream and shake her head just
As soon as he did she spit them right back out.. They just
refused to stay in.. Until Kelli got her permanent teeth she
looked just like that photo... I don't know who was more upset
me or Kimmie or Kelli.. Once the pain stopped Kelli was ok..
Kimmie cried for days.. Me, I knew theyd come back so I
wasn't worried... Julio... he felt really bad that he didn't stop
her fall.. but its just life and times of growing up :-) She
has the most beautiful teeth now.. perfect and straight.. But
braces helped... Shes a dolly.. then and now... Kelli says that
is NOT her favorite photo.. its one of mine though :-D....

Penny came today, right on time and we are all clean and set for
a few days. We've been pretty good shes not had to do alot. I
told her about the conversation with Laima and shes hoping that
she will get a few more hours.. I do too... She puts in extras
but never gets overtime. Dutch was mean to her today for some
reason and has just been sticking to me like glue. LB has been
following Penny around lately.. I know when Laima was here,
neither of them even went up to her. Which for Dutch that's
not usual behavior.. I don't know what his problem is.. They are
both a year older as of August.. LB is 6 now and Dutch is 5.
Kids grow so fast.. :-)

Well I have a Carmel ice cream Sunday in my freezer that
Penny got for me today from DQ when she got my icee.. I
like them once in a while.. And I know when the mail gets
here I will have something good as I am due to get my
next netflix today. I dunno what it is, don't matter I'm
gonna watch it... but I cant do that till I write my
GORGEOUS WEEBLE "nitey nite"....

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and THANKS!
Always, Lois ****

"God Bless You" is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend".
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...

    Hello Lois

That sure was hard on Kelli to lose her front teeth...it does take a while to replace them.
Bob still resting in bed, he sure would love to get around again.
It been a long day here for me today, just to many thing to thing about.
I meet with my old school friend today for lunch there was two more new ones there...some I did not know that well...but so good to see them after all these years.
Walking with Patsy in the morning.
    God bless you Lois
    Mary

    Hi, Honey,
Reminds me of when Phoebe split her head on a granite kerb-stone, last year, just as they were all about to go hme after a visit. We had to rush her to A & E in Taunton. She was such a good brave girl - they gave her a certificate! (They have them for good, brave boys and girls!)
They had to put six stitches in her fore-head and she didn't murmur, nor when they gave her the anti-tetanus jab. Not bad for one who is usually a Drama Queen, at the age of 5!!
We told her that she was now like Harry Potter!
    Take care, Honey,
    Luv Ya,
    Raife

    Hi Mary,
Yes, it was amazing how she adapted to it.. Her mom was very fussy about Kelli, she had to look perfect and she felt this was a flaw..which it wasnt at all... Hope hubby is better.
    Enjoy your walk...

    Hi Raife,
Kids are more durable than we give them credit for.. I think we get more upset than they do.. Im a nurse I was ok.. her mom was a basket case lol...

    Nice to hear from you...
    Love N'Hugs,
    ALways, Lois ****
