~We Got RAIN, RAIN,RAIN~
We are under flood watch. First time I can say that for
this town.. Its been raining now for 3 days non stop almost
and with 3 rivers here we could be in trubble ! One of the
rivers is only down the street from me about 3 blocks or
so.. Then its up hill..but if all 3 of these rivers go..well this
place could be under water. My basement is so damp, even
in here you can feel the dampness. I think that's what
makes me ache..
They cut the leg bone straight across. The end is flat.
They cut the leg bone straight across. The end is flat.
The muscle and tissue is so soft that you can easily feel
the bone in side. I can take my finger and feel the flat
end and then trace it around almost a perfect circle
of the bone.. I think being cut like that has made arthritis
set in and that's why they seem to ache when there is
a drastic change in the air. This dampness is not good. I
have my de humidifier going down the basement and
Penny only emptys it when shes here and I bet anything
do this it makes me cranky plus I have over done a bit
these past 2 days with this wardrobe.. Well I couldn't
wait to see my things in it and not scattered all over, I
could have waited until tomorrow for Penny but.. well I
did it.. took me a while.. but I got most all put away, in
boxes and hung up.. Its looking so much better.. I didn't
realize just how BIG this wardrobe is.. Even Dawn said
she would like to have one.. Donnie says she can, but he
not marked like it said.. some of the pieces didn't match
they had more than enough nails and not enough of the
screws.. I sat here and listened to him in there and I had
to laugh, quietly of course... Dawn walks in there, when
Donnie gets aggravated she walks back out :-) We know
Donald and his ways.. But it was NOT easy to put it
together at all.. they did a great job.. They had to assemble
it here in the living room then drag it into the bedroom..
Poor Dawn had to try to lift her end of it.. Donnie would say
Poor Dawn had to try to lift her end of it.. Donnie would say
"Pick it UP please".. Dawn kept sayin "IM TRYING DON!
I ACHE!" Remember a few weeks ago Dawn pulled a muscle
I ACHE!" Remember a few weeks ago Dawn pulled a muscle
in her neck and had to get shots.. She had no business pulling
that huge heavy thing.. So Donnie mostly pushed it while she
guided it back into its place. I bought them lunch and it gave
them a break.. It was Donnies birthday yesterday and I
thought that was pretty nice of him to come over on HIS
day.. Hes a good kid.. He said I was to write to the makers
of this wardrobe and tell them how hard a time my son had
putting this together ! I'm looking for the site :-) was made
by AMERIWOOD Industries. They could have done better.
They put stickers on the pieces to identify them.. well they
were all fallen off by the time they got them out of the
box. It wasn't easy.. But I sure am grateful to them...
I saw the brown squirrel out there today, then another
brown one came up, and got run off, then I saw a black
one come by and got run off as well.. This brown one
with the damage on his back I'm beginning to think its
cuz of a fight with other squirrels.. He refuses to let
any of the others eat while he is.. birds included.. This
rain is making him crabby too, hes soaking wet out there.
I know my boys are crabby as all get out.. I had to stop
3 fights today.. Its got to be the weather.. LB is wheezing
a lot more since this dampness... I will be glad when it
I'm just gonna make some of that good ramen noodle soup.
Damp day it will taste good.. Plus I'm tired and I think I
will watch TV the rest of the day... its Sunday, a relaxer
day... a nice recliner would be good for that :-) Time to
post ... first my GORGEOUS WEEBLE "nitey nite".
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear?Love ya and THANKS!

"God Bless You", is my prayer today.

ney,
Well Done, Donald! We have two wardrobes, about the same size as yours, in our bedroom - one for 'er indoors and one for me. They were flat-packs, so I know ALL about Donald's trials and tribulations!! You often have to look VERY hard at the instruction leaflet to see just how things go. I remember missing a dot the size of a full point and getting drawer runners round the wrong way and having to undo part of the work. We ordered a dressing table off the net - looked great in the picture and I thought "Great, it comes fully assembled" bot, oh no! it was a flat pack!!
Love the pics of my Fav. Weeble! Thanks, Honey.
Take care and quit overdoing it!!
Luv Ya,
Raife

Dearest Lois!
Oh boy prettier than ever! You sure look wonderful in this outfit, and your bad arms looks just fine!
All things up from your blonde hair, your beautiful eyes via the sweet lips with them teeths (i now it is just the half set). Down the lovely chin the firm breasts and your NOW THINNER waist... Have you been loosing weight lately? Down your nice butt and down to the soft stumps you have instead of the ordinary and often dull female legs, other has!!!
Well this whole package suits me just fine and i think you are a wonderful woman to have as a real and close friend! I am so happy, and you make me that..... Feel proud, feel pretty my dear lovelylittlelegs!
Your own

In Kansas City, in 1951, it rained 40 days or nights and they had a big flood which did $1bn damage. They then built flood control projects.

Hi Lois,
I've been an ocassional visitor to your blog over the years, and thought I'd take a moment to say hello. From all that I have read you seem like nice lady.
You surely have been a keen observer and prolific writer of the world around you. You know, you're a bit like Emily Dickenson, who like you (but for different)reasons was housebound, though wrote about an entire universe.
Hope you keep up your good work.

ps sorry to hear that the weather makes your legs ache. I broke my arm as a kid and it ached for years when cold, rain, or low pressure came in. Yours must be much tougher.
pps great shots of you in those pale green shots. It's a good color on you. Peraps if they were hemmed shorter they wouldn't bunch up on you - but what do I know LOL
